Problem details:
About I think 5 hours ago, I recieved an osu update. After updating, it gives me an outdated client error. Then I checked the version hitsory, and the last update was April 24th. I have tried switching to beta and back to stable and rebooting my pc. Both didn't work. The game shows version 20220424 in settings.

osu! version: 20220424

EDIT: Ok if I reinstall the game do I get to keep my maps?

Your beatmaps will be deleted if you reinstall the game without creating a backup. Reinstalling will not fix this issue either.

The devs are aware of what's causing this and are working on a solution. In the mean time, if you have "Test Mode" / "Test Signing" enabled in Windows, this can be resolved on your end by disabling it. To do so, open a command prompt as an administrator, enter the command "bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF", and then restart your computer.

Thanks a lot! Yep I had unsigned drivers for a thing I don't even use and seems like the uninstall process for that is a pain. Btw I think I found another bug while trying to fix this: the reset settings button in osu repair didn't actually change any settings (not sure if I need to open another issue for this)

(also I can't figure out how to mark this issue as closed)

The reset setting issue you're experiencing is probably unrelated to this one. Possibly a permission issue.

If you still want to reset your settings, you can do so by removing the "osu!.<pcname>.cfg" file from your osu! folder. That's is where everything is stored.

Is this going to be resolved any time soon or another way around it? I need Test mode ON in my machine :C
