Welcome back to the 4th iteration of mrc, the annual Canadian 2v2 tournament with teams of 3.
With the growth of the Canadian osu! scene and the emergence of new talents, we are excited to some sick matchups this year.
mrc4 is badged and competitive, but remember that this tournament still aims for a casual environment that provides a memorable experience, especially for first-time tournament players. So NO TOXICITY!
Without further ado, let's get into the details of the tournament this year.
There is one major rule change:
• Top 100 global players may only team up with 4-digits, but anybody outside of the top 100 may team with each other.
The following twists to the traditional rule system will continue to take place:
• There will be no HD pool.
• Players will have the freedom to take HD on the NM, HR, and DT pools for no extra points.
• There will be a force-mod pool, on which one player is forced to HD-only while the other must take HR/HDHR.
• EZ may only be used on FM picks to replace HD, and it will have a 1.8x score multiplier. This is contrary to mrc3, during which EZ had a 2.0x multiplier and was interchangeable with HR/HDHR.
In addition, the following fundamental rules will continue:
• The tournament is restricted to users with a Canadian flag on their profile or users currently living in Canada.
• It is a 2v2 tournament with teams of 3. There is a channel dedicated to finding teammates in the Discord server.
• The bracket style will be double elimination, with qualifier seeding.
• The scoring system will be Score V2.
