I'm thinking about switching to a tablet cause Im constantly underaiming with mouse. People said that the CTH-480 is the best, but its an old tablet and almost impossible to find brand new. As an alternative, they say i should pick the Gaomon S620 but its not as good as the 480. Currently found 3 480 with a fair price and in decent conditions. should i pick a used 480 or just buy a new s620 instead?

680 is better than 480 unless you're limited by small space, not only because you can have a bigger active area, but also because there is more tablet to rest your hand on. But that extra size might not help you, I don't know what area you will be comfortable with.

480 isn't hte best anymore afaik, it has more shake than some newer wacoms. some new wacoms are also worse than it tho

As a CTH-480 user and who also tried the CTL-472 (and also the Gaomon S620),

The CTH-480 only gave me a bit of comfort (on the pen part mostly) and the no-smoothing (i prefer to play with smoothing so i added like 12ms of it with software), When i tried the Gaomon S620, the pen feels like as nice if not a bit less than the CTH-480, and it really feels nice to play with, other than the hardware smoothing.

While the CTL-472 gave me more of the CTH-480 vibes, only with smaller pen, and a more rough tablet surface (both solved by using grip tape and tablet cover) and it feels/performs like the CTH-480.

Both of the CTL-472 and Gaomon S620 is great and you can't go wrong with either, though, if you want more of the CTH-480 feeling, go with the CTL-472.

I think it's probably worth it. I've used the XP-Pen Star G640, the CTL-472, and the CTH-680. My favorite is definitely the 680 (just the bigger version of the CTH-480)
