DM Nathaniel on osu! or Discord (Juno#4215) to apply for staff.

The Rutgers Rhythm Games Club (RU RGC) is a collegiate rhythm games club. Currently, we intend to host monthly (mostly low-rank) one day tournaments for the foreseeable future! These tournaments serve to involve Rutgers students, new tournament players, and new tournament staff into the osu! tournament scene.

-ALL communication will be in the official Rutgers Rhythm Games Club Tournaments server. All announcements will be made using the respective @Div 1 (Monthly) and @Div 2 (Monthly) roles
-Being more than 10 minutes late to a match will result in immediate disqualification if your opponent reports it (if both teams are late but one arrives before the next round, you will not be disqualified and will play when the next round starts)

-This is a one day tournament. All rounds will be played in the course of a day

Format: osu!standard, 1v1, Head to Head, Single Elimination (3rd/4th will have a tiebreaker)
Player Cap: 64 players per division REGISTRATION IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED
Rank Range: Div 1 is 50k-99,999 || Div 2 is 100k-500k (AT SCREENING DATE)
Default Mods: No Fail (NF) and ScoreV2 (V2)
Allowed TB Mods: NM or any possible combination of Hidden (HD), Hard Rock (HR), or Easy (EZ)

Screening Process: Main reasons for getting screened out: Being out of the rank range at screening, being restricted within the last 3 months, or suspicious activity on your profile.

Seeding

Seeding will be based on BWS. Going above the average rank requirement AFTER APPLYING BWS will NOT disqualify you from the event. The BWS formula is rank^(0.9937^(badges^2)), so the more badges you have, the higher your rank is weighted.

Round Procedures

-PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HAVE "Allow multiplayer invites from all users" ENABLED TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO INVITE YOU TO MATCHES!!
-THERE ARE NO WARMUPS DURING MATCHES!!
(Slightly Outdated) Video Tutorial Of Steps Shown Below

RO64 & RO32 Procedure

1. Create a multiplayer match by using (include parentheses) !mp make RGC4: (YourUsername) vs (OpponentUsername)
2. Click on the match history link that appears in the multiplayer chat when the room is made. You will submit this after your match as proof for the scores so there is no cheating. Make sure to save the link before the match starts in a web browser.
3. Invite the other player using !mp invite OpponentUsername for each player.
4. Immediately enable Free Mods, and change the lobby settings to Team VS and ScoreV2. A reminder to ALWAYS use No Fail (NF) on EVERY MAP.
5. Follow steps 2 and onward of the "Top 16 and Onwards" procedure below.
6. Submit the multiplayer match history in the #result-links channel in the RU RGC Tournaments Discord.
7. Type !mp close to close the lobby.
8. You may wait until the next hour for RO32 OR play your RO32 match as soon as your opponent is ready. (RO16 and after will be SET at the times on the mainsheet)

Top 16 and Onwards Procedure

1. A referee will create a room and invite both players.
2. Use !roll to determine map ban order.
3. Winner of the !roll bans the first map.
4. Loser of the !roll bans the second map.
5. (Bronze Match / Finals Only) Repeat steps 3-4 for the second ban.
6. Loser of the !roll picks the first map to be played, with picks alternating each map.
