I started playing Osu two weeks ago and yesterday I reached my first day of playtime. My current best play is a 4.99* FC, however it seems unclear to me whether I should keep pushing for harder maps or trying to stabilize my skills by playing maps at this level. How should I build my progress plan?

My apologies if this is not the right place to ask, this is my first time using Osu! Forum.

um your rank 700000 and you have a 100pp play how tf did you do that

just keep doing what your doing and you will be a 4 digit in no time with that score

Offline maybe? They had 63 playcount in the preceding three months total. Not to mention only 23 top plays.

????

your scores are fucking cracked for someone with such low playtime

just keep doing what youre doing tbh, maybe go back and try to fix accuracy on some of your plays

itd be funny to see someone get banned bc of a forum post bringing heat lol

edit: https://link.issou.best/ppHFd seems legit to me, maybe a bit fishy here and there but definitely not enough for hackusations to start

It's just better genetics bro, he was born with the OSU genes.

I'm not hacking, here's my current stream for anyone interested.

If it's not enough, I have several unlisted streams with a handcam included stream if that can help

Looks good to me.

Just a really good player.

He has 383 plays on his 106pp play and 316 plays on his 115pp play.
699/1271 playcount is on those two maps alone.
Of course if you were to have that much dedication for a map, as long as you have the mechanical skills for it, with enough attempts it might be possible to FC something way out of someone's skill range.

To answer OP, your acc and consistency is already really good for your rank so I would push star rating and skills such as tapping speed, aim, reading, etc. I think pushing your limits would be more beneficial since you seem to have the basics down rather quickly.

I see, thank you!

Make goals you know you can reach and goals that are less possible to reach.
An example of a goal you can reach with pretty much 100% certainty would be something like:
"practice X skill for 1 hour everyday for 4 days" or
"Focus on trying to hit IN THE MIDDLE of each circle when playing this day".

An example of what a "possible" goal would be is something like:
"Get 99% FC on X map"
"Learn to deathstream 200 BPM before April"
You can't know for sure if you'll be able to reach these goals or not, but it can help with motivation.
Because reaching these kinds of goals is satisfying.
