i want to switch from alt to single tap.

i notice its so hard to stay in ryhtm when im so nerveous at the end of the map if i fc.
so i want to switch.

i once a single tapper when i was starting osu, and then i switched to alt when i play around 5 stars iirc because i want to play tech map easier

but now im kinda strugling with all this full alt stuff :(

so any tips?

basically go to lower stars and learn how to singletap them. later go to higher star maps ez

24k rank, stream map fcs.

I don't think singletapping would be a problem if you can consistently stream twice the singletap bpm.

limit yourself to starting streams on 1 finger and tap "singles" on that finger. learn to do it on both

Try to remember and predict when there are going to be 1/4 or similar rhytms in the song, qnd prepare to perform a triple, stream or whatever with your dominant finger. And IF you do not have a dominant finger yet, just pick some fast singletap map with few 1/4s and see which one is better. Its just as hard to change it later on as learning to alt basically.

just dedicate a day to playing singletap, obviously keep your muscle memory for bursts with alting.

I know is late, but I'm full alt too and I'm trying to learn single tapping. I will start single tap with middle finger and start burst/streams with index. I don't want to full switch, but to use single tap when full alt is not need, mostly in maps under 200 bpm.

hmm for me I started out with single tapping then switched to alt when I was 700k, then continued to alt until I hit 90k, then switched back to single tapping as it felt easier on jumps, and then realized that single tapping made my finger hurt more so I switched back to alt, after that I realized that alt was hard on jumps so I had to relearn how to alt jumps, realized that it was easier to just do what my fingers wanted to do and stopped caring whether I alt or single tap, so now I play with hybrid in which I randomly switch between alt and single tap. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
