So I'm really bad at knowing when I need a break, this is because at the start, I always pushed myself and and didn't stop until my fingers can't tap anymore, this is also how I developed my streaming and Stamina.

So I want to discuss on how to know when to take a break, and also knowing how long to take a break.

In my experience, I have benefitted from breaks when I was burnt out and not having as much fun with the game. Taking a while to mentally reset and come back with a fresh mind helps a lot when it feels like you're banging your head into a brick wall. There are of course days where you underperform and don't feel like playing, but that isn't being burnt out. Distinguishing the two is important.

You could also just power through it and Play More. From what I've seen, a lot of players who improve quickly or rise to the top have insane amounts of monthly plays and simply just push through those low parts. I couldn't do it but to each their own.

At the end of the day, you get to decide when you play. If you don't want to-- don't! There's no harm in stepping away for a while if you think it'd benefit you.

Breaks are a personal matter. I personally start taking breaks from the game if I start finding that I am not enjoying it or finding interest anymore. Breaks from playing should really start to occur if your wrist/hand/eyes or anything starts to hurt past a dull and periodic pain (this means it doesn't necessarily hurt to do regular tasks on a daily basis, also known as "muscle strain/building"). If the pain is sharp and your body is aching for you to stop and it starts to interfere with your day to day life then you NEED to take a break from playing. It is not worth the clout or the mediocre ranking you may get at the end of the day if you are unable to use your hands without hurting because of a video game.

If you are playing until your fingers cannot tap anymore then I highly suggest taking a break from playing. This doesn't mean from the game but maybe don't play until your fingers can recover. If you want to continue playing till you are unable to tap then you MUST develop some healthy patterns before, during, and after your playing sessions. Otherwise you can just damage your body even more.

for ur question u can just probably take a break when u feel bored of the game and come back to game in few days. (minimum 2 days) When u feel like it just come back

Gut feeling is the only real way to know when to take a break. Everyone has different limits so no formula will be able to tell you the amount to play. Part of getting good at the game is playing the right amount and knowing when any additional effort will give no extra progress.

To know this you have to either have good intuition or fail enough times (by playing way too much) to know your limits.

Another way to know is if the game really feels like a chore then you are probably no longer learning.

take a break when u want to take a break
take a "whatever" when u want to take a "whatever"

Took about a two-week break. Made no progress. You lied.

(it's probably a mix of de-rusting and not jumping into playing 4*'s right away, but still.)

In my view Break is just a way to reset your mind

If you are tired and dont want to play then you will face mind block, shit missing, frustration, not focusing and other things which will make you less consistent. This happens when you play daily just so you can improve.

When I was 13 I show many of my cusions playing PUBGM and I wanted to play it too but I didnt had any device to play on it. When I hit 15 I got a mobile and I used to play PubgM for 5 hours a day but as the time passed I got bored of it because I can play whenever I want.

This applied to osu too, When you start playing Osu, its fun and you want to be better and improve 'x' thing but the game become boring with the more time you invest in it, you start facing many problems like i mentioned on top. By taking breaks you can developed the same feeling when you start playing the game or at least somewhat closer to that.

But if you dont have any of these problem then break will do nothing

edit: also another thing "Mindset"
Did you ever had that feeling where you get a very good play and after that your whole session go very good

That happen because of your mind, If you made a mindset where you just think that you are bad and you cant fc anything then your whole session will go bad no matter how much you practice.
Develop a good mindset. Thats why many player say "Enjoy the game"

If you're getting burnt out of the game

Take a break

If you're experiencing pain in any way from playing the game

Take a break

Other than that just play and have fun

There are no breaks from osu. You play osu always and forever, there is no escape.
When you aren't playing, you meditate and think about osu and clicking circles.
When you go to sleep, you dream of osu.
When you think you've finally left osu for good, your carpal tunnel osu is still there with you.
When you're taking out coins to count your change, there is osu in your hands.
When you're out during the day, there is an osu shining brightly in the sky, but don't look directly at it.
We live on an osu.
