[confirmed] [web] "Without video" download button rarely doesn't appear

Explain the issue you are having:

"Without video" download button does not appear on the beatmap listing, I tried re-uploading the map couple of times, with and without the video, but it doesn't help... on osu direct the no video download button appears.

Is it reproducible? If so, explain the steps to do so:

I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong place. I just don't know what to do...

I'll confirm this, since kecco had this problem as well few times, and I've seen people complaining about it.

Seems like, no-video link EXISTS, but is not listed on listing page.

Yes. I had two 2-years-old maps and I experienced this when I added a video on them. Basically you could just download the video version.

Btw, as if by magic, after they got ranked the "no video" button popped up.

The video is a .flv. osu! doesn't really support these. Try renaming it to .avi

I believe it may have something to do with the '.' in the video filename. Could you try removing that and reuploading?

ok, I reuploaded without '.' , still does appear ;w;

edit: also removed "." from a diff name. didn't help

Can you try deleting your local submissioncache entry for your map? (osu! folder\data\submissioncache\mapid.osz2)

I deleted everything from that folder just to be sure. I reuploaded.... but still no without video button D:

I discovered that the problem was about "creator's words" section. I updated the map, and while submission I deleted everything I wrote in the creators words and the "without video" button appeared after the map was submitted, but I saw that "no video" link does not appear in the thread anymore. I updated once more and in the submision window, it appeared this --> http://puu.sh/4jB8p.png and now the post on the thread looks like this --> http://puu.sh/4jBa6.png LOL. Should I edit the first post and add the "no video" link manually?

I plan on looking into this further, but basically at the server-side, it is doing a check inside the osz2 package for video. It's quite likely an osz2-level bug, but I have a feeling it was more to do with your submission cache not being updated properly. Will be a hard one to track down, I think.

well hope everything's fine in the end... I don't know what to do now... I kinda want push this map to ranking pretty soon...
