I've been using tablet for a while but as I start to go higher in difficulty where the songs get longer and there are way bigger jumps my grip starts to fall apart. My fingers end up closer the the tip and the pen becomes more slanted which screws me over.

Any recommendations on what I can do?
Like changing area? Pen grip?

If you find your grip slowly getting worse as you play, you can try putting something on your pen to act as a grip so your fingers don't slip. The most common solution is badminton/tennis grip tape (something like this: https://www.amazon.com.au/Badminton-Anti-Slip-Motorcycle-Breathable-Loose-Proof/dp/B09DBJJKSD ), you'll see a lot of top players wrap this stuff around their pen, if you watch their handcams. Other common solutions are rubber bands and toilet paper. I personally have cloth wrapped around my pen, because I found my grip slipping with the grip tape I got. My grip's never slipped since, but it does get kinda nasty after a while.

Maybe just try a bunch of stuff until you find something you like.
