sharing a wip beatmap

Ive tried sharing my newly made beatmap that is still a wip and not yet submitted
so i tried sharing it with my friends but it wouldnt link anything (which i get)
but instead just said i was listening to the song

am i able to share my map without submitting it first?
if so please tell me

first, this subforum is for proposing changes to the ranking criteria, it should be out in mapping discussion instead.

second, to answer your question you'll need to export as an .osz with the file dropdown in the top left and then upload that somewhere that your friends can download it whether that's discord or some filesharing website.
