Hello! Not sure if this is the right section for this post... but I run gameservers for people and recently have been wanting to get into setting up an osu server, (something similar to osu debian). I have a Linux machine running Ubuntu 20.04. Anyone have any experience?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you mean by an osu server. Can you provide more details on what you expect the server to do?
Farfocele

sorry for the late response!! I am looking to host a private osu server for people to be able to play on. Like I had said, a good example of what I am looking to do is set something up like osu Debian (or other private servers.) I have plenty of experience working in the linux server environment I am just not sure where exactly to get started on something like this.
Thank you again for all your help!

This is not same as Minecraft where people join different servers to experience different maps or gameplay experience. Everything would be more or less the same. The only things that would differ perhaps is which maps and mods are ranked and leaderboards. I dont believe there is support for that yet, but you can look into osu!web and lazer to see if you can make something with what's there. I definitely know you can run custom osu!web instances.

You should check other projects under ppy as well, maybe you will find something.

Thank you so much! I also reached out to some other server owners and was able to come away with some starting points. I appreciate all the help!
