Problem details: Not exactly a problem, more just curious.
I'm curious what the setting "Reduce dropped frames" does. I haven't gotten any frame drops with or without the setting, and I cap FPS at 60 (to save power). When "Reduce dropped frames" is on, it feels like there's no cursor latency. When set to windowed, moving in and out the window feels the same, so pretty minimal latency. On the other hand when I turn "Reduce dropped frames" off, the cursor feels weighty and sluggish.
Weirdly enough, if I set the frame rate to 240, cursor movement isn't impacted as much by "Reduce dropped frames" being off. If it's on though, 240FPS and 60FPS feel exactly the same. Smooth!
I'm curious what this does behind the scenes. Some games feel more like reduced drop frames off, others feel like its on. Is the setting known as anything else in the computer community?
