Okay, so I launched my Osu game this morning to find that my resolution has caused the game to zoom in far too much:

I don't know any shortcuts to zoom out; also when I get into the options menu, all I can see is there red area annotated on the ss, so I cannot adjust the resolution:

Any help will be appreciated, even if it's just a keyboard shortcut I'm unaware of.

what happens if you press alt+enter?

as i see in your second image, your image resolution is higher than your native resolution. try hit alt+enter to proceed to window mode...

Nothing, it's now displaying a message as I launch "Description: Failed To Change The Resolution".

EDIT: Picture of it now in windowed: http://imgur.com/dgw1Ysn

try this:
1.open osu property by rightclick on osu.exe
2.on compatibility tab, chk run in 640x480mode.
3. run osu and change osu resolution to 640x480
4.close it properly and uncheck now the 'run in 640x480' on osu property.
5. Run osu and select resolution you want.

I've just tried this, and it's just having the same problem just on a lower resolution.

when you follow my procedure, is the program start at fullscreen? if not, try again my procedure but make sure now the osu will start in fullscreen.

Same thing, yet again, this screenshot of the message I get as I launch the game may help?:

oh. it must change resolution automatically as expected but it denies your osu to change it.

Change your renderer to DirectX and see if that helps anything. In my experience, it handles fullscreen and large resolutions a lot better.

Still nothing, I've even just tried to re-install, and still comes up with this problem.

hmmm. how about reinstalling graphic driver to its original version or updated version, whichever will work.

try this

go to C:/[Your Osu Folder] and open the osu!.[YourName].cfg with Notepad ++.
So now scroll down to Width WidthFullscreen and change it to your Resolution.

Width = 1920
WidthFullscreen = 9999
HeightFullscreen = 9999
Offset = 0
Height = 1080
EditorTip = 0
MenuTip = 4
Fullscreen = 0

This is mine.

I hope i can help ^-^
