When I set FPS to unlimited it sets it to Vsync.

Unlimited allows the game to have maximum FPS depending on your GPU.

Not sure how it was reverted back to Vsync tho, did you have any footage for that?

You might have confused fps with hz, when the limiter is set to unlimited it will display your screens refresh rate in hz instead of your fps. If your ms(frametime) is lower or about the same as on optimal it is working correctly

K thanks. It's just that when I set it to unlimited, it's capped to the max refresh rate of my monitor. The problem with that is, that I sometimes have stutters on screen, while my input lag is farely good. When I set it to optimal my input lag is worse but I have less stutters. Thanks for the quick help.

It isn't "capped" to the refresh rate of your monitor, the display just switches to showing your refresh rate instead of fps. Unlimited is known to cause stutters sometimes, that is why "Optimal" is what's recommended (hence its name).

The difference in "input lag" on Optimal vs unlimited should be almost imperceptible. Try playing with it for a bit, it really shouldn't be that bad.

Unlimited is generating as high of an fps as possible without causing potential issues, depending on your GPU. You are probably mistaking it for the HZ in bottom right, which is also what is actually going to be displayed. If you put on an fps counter, such as the one in GeForce Experience, you may see the real fps.

You should still use optimal fps though as unlimited is known to cause stuttering.
