So I've been paying osu for some time and have taken into account a lot of aspects that are seen in the game. One of the main ones is the keyboard. I'm currently using a 125hz keyboard (input taken every 8 milliseconds) but I would like a better keyboard since those 8 milliseconds can cost you the difference of a 300 or 100 hit. (or 100/50, 50/Miss, etc.) Can you give me any recommendations?

What I prefer:
-65% size
-1000hz
-Affordable (Any price range below...$120-$130 USD)
-Cherry MX Red switches (doesn't necessarily need to have)

Anything else doesn't really matter in my eyes, but if there is something that could possibly change the game with the keyboard stats. Thanks for taking your time to stop by and hopefully leaving your recommendation. This post can also be used for other people to reference to! :D

If you're playing standard, 8ms is just absurd to complain. I have a 125hz keyboard as well. very very very rarely it will cost you cost you the difference of a 300 or 100 hit. Just look at my profile, I have a decent acc on stream and jump maps.

PD: 8ms is 8/1000th of a second, if you get a 100 due to this so low range of delay, you're the most unlucky guy ever

I use durgod taurus k320. Bought it from amazon for $145 AUD ($80-$100 USD). The polling rate is 1000hz I believe. Its a really good keyboard imo. Dumii, Mathi and Spare uses it

You need to have incredible base acc to need a 1000Hz for standard. For mania it's a bigger problem though.

Really though, you don't need it as of yet, at least the 1000Hz part of the equation.

I guess at that price range something like a Ducky one 2 SF? Or a Varmilo VA68 in whatever flavor.

Getting a 1000hz can be worth it depending on what OD you're playing, and how much you value your accuracy. It's important to point out that it does make playing higher OD's easier, but it won't turn you into hallowatcher overnight.

It is never ACTUALLY necessary, as it is perfectly possible to be consistent with a 125hz keyboard at OD10 (the highest OD a mapper can set their map) and even OD11 (DTHR). The timing window is just going to be slighly smaller, that's all. There will still be room to reliably get 300's as long as you're accurate enough. Watch the video if you need the specifics.
