Fingertip grip for mouse

Hi, so yesterday I got a new mouse and due to the shape and size I have switched from claw grip to fingertip grip (with pinky finger support on the right), but I'm having some doubts about the grip because the mouse control feels a bit awkward. Is tip grip just not good for osu? Or is it because I simply need to get used to the new grip (my mouse is also a lot lighter than my old one, and I decreased my dpi by 300).

I'm mainly worried that after about a week of trying to get used to the new mouse I won't make any progress due to the nature of the fingertip grip. My plays on the new mouse are a bit worse than on the old one (which is probably to be expected), but I noticed that when I do miss, I'm missing by a lot. I've also been starting to s**tmiss, which I don't know if it's because of the unstable grip or just the new dpi and mouse overall.

Tl;dr is fingertip gripping bad for osu or do I just have to play more to get used to it?

I might not be the most reliable for mouse advice(reached 90k with mouse), but it is all preference. The only downside I can think of using a fingertip grip can be more mouse tilt compared to claw and palm, but it's just another learning curve to get used to. And if you changed your sens as well, then it might take a couple of days, or even weeks to get completely used to. When I swapped from a basilisk to the mm710, it took me 2 weeks to get used to it before getting my hands on a tablet. Hope this helps :D
