I lost my ability to aim decently a couple days ago and it's been gradually getting worse ever since. Any advice?

Hi Malphos!

1.) Play some jump maps with the circle size=3. [CS=3]
Then, make your way to a higher number circle size; 4, 5 and so on if you want to continue. This is to give yourself a chance to hit the hitcircles when your cursor is always at the edge of the hitcircles.

2.) Play maps which the approach rate is slightly low. [AR=7 or anywhere lower. Just the same as the circle size, master them until you've reached AR=10. This gives you more focus on which circle will appear first on a fast pace.

3.) Listen to the beats along with the song. You might click the beat too early or too late, resulting a miss. Listen to it attentively with your eyes focus on the next hitcircles to be clicked.

I don't think it's about warming up or practicing. I could hit almost all jumps on Tsukinami a few days ago for example, but now I can't even hold 400 combo. My hand shakes when holding my pen idk if it's my grip or just me being nervous about not being able to hit the jumps I used to be able to hit. (last sentence was pretty bad hopefully you understand)

There's another thing I need to know after stating your first sentence.

Have you keep yourself motivated when playing osu! overtime? Did you start off positive and confident to be able to score better than yesterday?

If you aren't, you should have a mindset for motivational thoughts.

Your mood can affect your gameplay. It will be worsen if you yourself always thinking it so badly. Change into something else, like "maybe one some day I can do it, I just can." This brings you another level, doesn't it.

---------------------------------------------

If your hand is shaking when holding a pen, it can be 3 things.

1.) Like you said, you're nervous. Relax and don't panic. Keep trying and eventually you won't feel it again.

2.) You started right away without practising or warming up. You need to make sure your right arm is alert, knowing that you are going to play osu!.

3.) You are playing osu! too much. Playing osu! too much will drain your energy, causing your consistency to get affected. Sure, you can get it. But also remember to take a 30 minute interval break to regain yourself from exhausted and tired.

I don't know if these will help you. I've tried my best and I apologize if they still aren't going to help you.
Almost
Play easier maps.

I had a similar issue when I took some breaks for testing. It's been about 3-4 months since then and I'm now better than I ever was.

The way I battled it was that I just needed to not THINK about my aim being the issue, just that I wanted to enjoy the game. You might not find enjoyment in playing the game, in the sense of being able to just play maps for fun and not for pp, which is something that a lot of players have (i also do love getting pp).

While I might not have an idea of what goes on in a 30k player's head (64k over here!), having fun was my gateway back into the game. I realized my aim was deteriorating and I can't even remember how it has improved since then because it's such a gradual thing.

Whatever you may enjoy in osu!, whether it be mashing circles to the songs you love, or hitting insane jumps, as long as you aren't feeling pressured into playing better. Never feel obligated to play to your expectations and just make sure you play more (haha funny phrase, but seriously) and are having fun with the game, and you most likely will get your aim back and better in the near future!

Don't forget to take breaks though, as burnout is a bad place to be :(
