OSU! is kind of like an addiction in the sense that you always want to play to improve ... even when you don't want to play because you're not having fun. Like any other game you get frustrated or bored of OSU! from time to time but you just can't bring yourself to click the "Exit" button because you think to yourself " If I keep playing map X and Y I might set a really cool score" or "But if I don't play today I won't improve or even lose skill so I have to play".

Ultimately OSU! is like any other game about having fun the only reason we force ourselves to play is to met the expectations we set for ourselves and feel a sense of accomplishment. Sometimes that can be really unhealthy and mentally straining though especially since we tend to play worse when we're not actually having fun and allowing yourself to take a break and mentally reset is when I personally felt like the most improvement happens.

I think there is alot of people who would agree with me when I say "I have a love hate relationship with OSU!" not because the game is bad in any way, OSU! is a great game but because of the way we can't help to approach it.
"Just enjoying the game" is the best thing you can do tbh. play when you're having fun instead of forcing yourself and even better stop caring about Ranks and PP as much as possible because seeing yourself being stuck in Ranking/PP can be disheartening but it ultimately doesn't matter what everyone else does just concentrate on your OSU! journey, your improvement anything else is thinking to competitively.

And heck even if you say "I am in this for the competition" just enjoying the game like I said earlier usually helps you to improve FASTER.

"Just enjoy the game" really is the best way to play! ... It's just hard to do sometimes.

I don't think I'll ever get bored of this game.
Almost
Yes and when I do, I quit.

This week i have a bit burnt out of this game, but after a break and seeing my replays and other osu gameplay, i get hyped to play again. And so, i am waiting for the next PC access. I will remember to actually keep enjoying the game, and if i don't, then stay away from it.
TBH only a few games have made me this engaged, and i Believe that osu! will be the most engaging game i have ever played. It just needs to beat my previous record of 3 years with Clash Royale. I'm 6 months into this one
