[resolved] I can't change gamemodes. I am stuck to osu!mania now.

Problem details:
So basically i was playing osu!mania, then i wanna try playing normal osu! When i tried changing the gamemode to osu!, it doesn't work and keeps it at osu!mania. Can anybody help?

I got none since screenshotting doesn't work for some reason.

osu! version: Stable 20200607 (latest)

Take a screenshot of the game using Shift+F12 and post the link to the picture that is uploaded please.

(You could see at the background it shows taiko picture but i can only see osu!mania maps.

Only maps made for the standard gamemode can be converted to other game modes. That is a mania-specific map, meaning it can't be played in Taiko mode.

But I can't see the Taiko maps when i choose the Taiko mode.

Are all of your maps mania specific? If so, you won't be able to see any because all of your maps were made for mania. Try downloading some taiko maps from here: beatmapsets?m=1

Oh, i ran osu! as administrator and i could change the gamemode. Thanks anyways for your help.

Your game mode was already changed.

You probably just happened to find a standard map that was converted properly to taiko when you restarted the game.

This is important because you could very easily find a mania map that can't be converted to taiko and be confused again in the future. For example, if you search for the same map that you took a picture of, it will still say mania only.

I remember being able to play Illusion of inflict in standard mode. Now it's Osu!Catch and how come I can't change it

Did you try ctrl+1 to change your settings back to standard?

Alternatively you can use ctrl + 1,2,3,4 to switch game modes which I didn't know. (At least when playing normal Osu maps)
