OK that probably explains it then.

I currently have around 8000 PHP right now saved from 4 months worth of allowance (I only get 1600PHP a week orz)... 170USD = around 7000PHP. Assuming that the usual markups and tax shit apply properly, I'm estimating that 3DS will be around 9000PHP when it gets the price drop here. Assuming that I also get my allowance soon from the office I worked for (for OJT) last summer, I'll have around 12500PHP, which is around 2000PHP away from a PS3... I don't know what to do; I'm pretty sure that the Pokemon games are inevitably going to be in the 3DS in the next year or 2, so I kind of want to allocate the money for that (and by that time the 3DS will probably have an even lower price)... but I also wanna get a PS3 before UMvC3 comes out...
Unless I sacrifice my lunch money everyday, I'm not gonna get that much shit out of my allowance oTL

Or it may be easier if you can get yourself a 6.39 PRO CFW or something so that you won't have later problems? There's a huge disadvantage in the older version CFWs in that the later games are patched one way or another (automatically or manually), and DLC support didn't exist before 6.00 (?) so there's still some patching going on with the DLC files in making it work with <5.50 versions too..... orz

Oh crap I forgot to ask the shop guys what CFW they have in their PSPs orz. Since they're PSP-3000 models I think they're at least up-to-date though.

Anyway, does the iso work right away on PSP or do I have to decrypt it or something first?

ISO should work right away, though there are a few times where plugins would be needed to play an iso, but it's very rare. I can confirm that PSPDX should work right away.

Most ISOs out there for download have been "patched" to remove the update requirement if your FW version is lower than what's packaged with the game.

It's better to be using clean ISOs though (mainly because of save migration problems, like when using my DFF save file on my DDFF :/) so I just update my FW accordingly. CFW makers come out with versions pretty fast anyway. I'm currently using 6.39 PRO-B

If you're using DLC's that aren't yours, then why would you need to buy SASURAI?

This plugin allows me to use encrypted DLC files from another PSP?

* No, while the files remain encrypted they are tied to the account and device that downloaded the file. The plugin only loads data, it can't decrpyt it.
Taken from the FAQ page for that plugin on qj.net.

If that's the case, then how are you using other people's DLC?

EDIT2: Ahh, maybe the DLC that you have is already decrypted? Oh well.

IDK, it just works. I just place the things in the GAME folder and it just works. Though from what that sentence said I think what it actually does is something like bypass the authentication process of the DLC and just loads the data.

EDIT2: Wait I'm describing it wrong; turns out that I turn the NoDRM Engine off and I'm using another plugin. I'll look at it again.

EDIT3: I think it's the NPLoader plugin. Well at least there are these 2 plugins that I'm not sure what it does: peagasus.prx and nploader.prx , so I think it's nploader that allows the DLC decryption. The NoDRM Engine is also turned off (the CFW should have this toggle in the Recovery Menu)_

I can't see the NoDRM disable voice in the Recovery Menu... Maybe it's because of my old firmware. But I can not improve it further; Mt PSP is from the 3000 series, and it would be bricked if I try the 5.50 GEN D3 upgrade. What can I do?

EDIT: All fixed, the guy who passed me the NPLoader plugin has mispelt the register notepad file. FFFFFFFFFFF

First post ehe ^^ The uploader of video above luckily had the same CFW as me, 5.5 prometheus, so I was able to get the DLC files in the end. I thought I had to upgrade to 6.39-PRO, and it sounded pretty risky cos you had to change to OFW first then install CFW (something like that). I upgraded to 5.5 prometheus to play Persona 3 Portable and it hasn't given me any problems since, plus the upgrade was really easy. (i think before I had sth GEN-D)

1 difference with 6.39PRO & 5.5 prometheus is the plugin. Since 6.39PRO was built later it no longer needed to use some plugins to access some stuff. Like if you're on 5.5 pmt you can't get to PSN network unless you had the psnlover plugin (but it was really easy to do), but with 6.39PRO you can access it without problems. Same with DLC, 5.5 pmt needs the plugin nploader.prx to encrypt the DLC. But 6.39PRO no need, that's why you had to disable that NoDRM thingy, if you have nploader plugin you don't need the NoDRM thing enabled. Or that's what I understood from the tutorials.

The tutorial in the youtube video, confirm works with 5.5 pmt, if you read the instruction properly. 6.39PRO is a bit different. I'm not sure about other versions though, since I only read about these 2 CFW. Also he seems to be updating the DLC packs regularly. I hope he updates with the August downloads X3 (Getsuei SASURAI here I come! X3)

The DLC (as of 10/8/11), he has all the songs except SMOKY THRILL.

Let me be the first to welcome you to osu! then.

To be perfectly honest, all I really want from that DL pack is KnF. I don't care much for the J-Pop and Anime genre. I have 6.39 ME-8, which none of you have mentioned yet, so I'll have to see for myself. I also have another one that is not hacked (FW is up to date of course), so I'll test that one too.

Once I get my hands on the HORI stick, I won't be needing that anymore. SMOKY THRILL is another thing, but I'm not too crazy about trying to get it.

By the way Zekira, did you ever try out my DLC to see if I successfully cracked it?

That's why I had that screenshot. Seems like Sony just pushed out their latest FW updates for both PSP and PS3, so I have to do that in order to get it to my hacked PSP.

That in my screenshot is my legit PSP. I can't update the hacked PSP for obvious reasons, so I have to use my PS3 to transfer it there. To get to the PSN via PS3, I have to update the PS3 FW.

As for getting SASURAI, IDK. I just checked, and then saw it. That's all there is to it really.

EDIT: Update finished! All right. Time to get busy.

And I've been playing osu for more than a year ^^; Umm, the PSP isn't mine, so I'm not sure... My cousin bought this PSP in 2008, but when I started to borrow his PSP (march 2011) I checked he had 5.03 GEN-D I think? You can check the CFW in the PSP settings (System Information). I think there are a lot of CFW out there (not sure cos I've only started tinkering with PSP recently), but I'm content with 5.5 prometheus.

@anongos Do you usually upload the DLC here?

Also as far as I'm concerned your recordings are pretty usable, I guess. Of course it won't compare to a direct rip from the game, but it's still workable for just casual listening~~~

And yeah, it'll never compare to a direct rip, but TBH with you, I try to make sure the quality is as high as I can get it to be. Pretty sure most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the direct rip and a recording. And the actual raw recording size can get gigantic, so I always downplay it to a lossy format like mp3. I still have the raw file though, if you want that for whatever reason.

Tsukikage, according to the Ustream.

I use Soundbooth CS5 for the audio, and RemoteJoyLite for the video. Followed by Premiere CS5 for a/v syncing.

Go for it. I tried uploading stuff on nico before, but it never worked so I never bothered anymore.

As for Codecs, video would be h.264/avc, audio would be aac. File format is mp4.

@betawatcher: Have you tried using the nploader plugin? I needed that one to use other people's DLC.

I'm pretty sure I have H.264 but for some reason it never yields the results I want...

If I'm not wrong, someone on the TEXPACK110800018.EDAT has discovered some of the next songs's songIDs! The first one sounds like Angel Beats, the 2nd one remembers AKB48... Wonder how they tracked down this!

And god damn it I'm highly sure it's those 2ch guys that are quickly cracking the stuff always... then that means they also have the methods to read the game in and out or something! They were able to read the .EDAT and possibly the encrypted .DAT of the Taiko's DLCs and ISO, and thus they got the Song IDs and was even able to get the hint of what Song_DLC_013 and Song_DLC_017 is...
This is one of the main reasons why I'm slowly trying to learn JP now... o_o

@ anongos The DLC I downloaded from the youtube link had no problems. Just the day before I updated with KnF and it worked fine. But when I tried installing SASURAI it's like the file was corrupt or sth, the song's there, but I can't open it.



It looks scary... :o

@ Zekira I tried your DLC pack... and ended up with less songs than I originally had. 0__o

Maybe I'll wait until that youtube guy updates his DLC and I'll try download from there.

How did it work for Zekira but not for you? I'm curious, since theoretically if it worked for him, it should also work for you. Did I do something wrong in decryption?

Zekira, how did you decrypt SASURAI? Did you work with the same file I gave you? How did you get my upload to work for you anyway, since it didn't work for beta?

Well IDK what kind of end-decryption betawatcher is using, but I simply copied your SONG_DLC_*something* to my own DLC folder and it worked.

I'm using the latest NPLoader and have NoDRM Engine turned off btw, 6.39 PRO-*something*

I bought SASURAI as well because I wanted my files to be authentic at least, lol. I decrypted mine using NPDecrypter 0.9.

Even for my DLC songs Angel Dream and Nagisa were disappearing, but I've had your pack decrypted from a friend of mine with a better CFW and Decrypter, so yeah. Thanks anyways for your pack, buddy!

See Zekira? I don't have enough money leftover to send you a tatacon. Besides those, I'm still waiting for Sonic Generations and Ace Combat Assault Horizon. And paying for transportation which right now is around $175 monthly. (It keeps getting an increase every season though. D:)

The true hate is just for that blue-haired jerk, for the Idolm@ster there is only tedium. I mean, it's the same "musical history" of the Angel songs: the Idolm@ster songs have the same structure (both lyrics and patterns), the same interaction Engrish/Japanese, the SAME SINGERS!

For the three Namco Original can work, but not for over a dozen songs, ugh. But beside someone must sully the last DLC contents, no? Zekira had been a lot generous by sharing his genuine-paid songs, after all. ^_^

And yes aqua, the pack is already decrypted. It also contains the P&L outfits!

(...at least SMOKY THRILL sounds more like Necology. And that's good, after all...)

Currently in Hong Kong International Airport. Yeah I played Taiko AC of Hong Kong, and it had reeeeaally better quality than those in Korea :DDDD

Unfortunatly I didn't have much time since it's a programmed trip, and I was available to visit only one game center: MK 88.

As I remember there were 5~6 Taiko machines in MK 88 and those are cheaper than Korean Taiko machines. No 13 or 14 there, unfortunatly.
