[Archived] Sorting maps by difficulty doesn't work when including converted maps

Whenever I'm playing osu!catch, and sort maps by difficulty, the sorting doesn't work very well when including converted maps, alternating between correctly sorted maps, and random maps of completely different difficulty.

I'm osu!mania player and seem to be facing the same problem.
This problem is probably related to the following (still unresolved) issue:
https://github.com/ppy/osu/issues/12628
