Why is there no notification when you get a level up?
I think the leveling system can provide quite a big motivation boost, but you barely notice it at the moment. It's just there, being silent and unfancy.
How about making it more interesting by adding something like in mmorpgs that tells you "yeaaah you're level 9000" accompanied by awesome sound&light effects?
It would really help the leveling system get more attention in my opinion.

What do you guys think?

This would be a neat idea sort of... but currently, levels aren't the main metric for determining skill, and I don't think they're meant to be that rewarding. They're sort of just there to determine approximately how much devotion one has put into osu!, along side with playcount. Plus, all the noobs would be getting a level every 2 maps, and people can technically level up during a map restart, or when the exit or fail a map. In my opinion, levels are only truly rewarding once you're up past level 90. Having a notification otherwise would be pretty useless.
