If you're new to mapping then please don't do a map / chart for Mata Saitama2000. It is one of the more difficult songs to actually make a map from. Start with something simple.

The timing of Mata Saitama2000 is complicated as it breaks the time signature multiple times. I already have the timing fixed, but that's because I'm experienced in recognizing the beats...

Awright,I gotta ask you guys about MaSai's song genre.
Remember how my BGs often include info such as song name,
song genre,composer,stuff like that?

So I wanna ask:Which genre should I put this song in?
(as if it were a IIDX song,so it's not limited to existing genres.)

Ideas so far:
NIISEN GABBA
NIISEN HI-SPEED GABBA
NIISEN SPEEDCORE
NIISEN HARDCORE
(all of them start with niisen,it's intentional

Wait,speedcore needs a minimum of 250BPM.Can
we ignore that?240 is somewhat close to that…right?

Tought to tell you that I have talked to peppy few minutes ago about the #taiko channel.
Possible to do it, but question is just, makes it sense to implement it.
He knows about it now and I told him some facts why we should have it + updated the first post in the request thread.

All we can do it is to wait now, because he don't work atm for osu!.

@ Gezo, Let me try working on the type on the background, to see if I can change what is says. (Since it still says Saitama~ instead, and maybe a small modification to the don-kat chitai to match Mata's chart.)

@Ono, A little late, but those HQ captures are taken because those players have access to (which means own) a Namco 256 PCB and the AC14 CD (and a bunch of other needed parts such as a security dongle, i/o board, etc.). After that, it's almost the exact same process as taking HQ captures of console games. The main problem there is it's quite difficult to find those things, especially when you're out of the country. (There are physical stores in Japan that sell pretty much nothing but arcade parts, such as the ones I mentioned.)

Why do I always have tp be asleep when you guys are awake. I always feel like I'm late to the conversation. Stupid time zones. :p

What I usually do is as long as the BPM remains stable, I ignore the metronome completely. It's how I managed to map Metal Police.

As long as it doesn't break on blue it's technically possible to continue mapping and still have it come out the same. Though the horizontal lines would come out weird during play mode lol

@Gezo TBH, I don't think I can't do much without it looking sloppy, since the texts are not editable, and there's a crapload of them. Plus the text that I put in looks way to sharp compared to the rest, which looks more blurry. It definitely stands out.

I only edited the "Saitama~" part to say "Matasaitama~" instead. I haven't edited the don-kat chitai yet.
And FYI, I was only planning on editing the texts, I wasn't going to touch anything else.

MaSai is supposed to be blue-ish green (teal?),somewhat
between Saitama!Blue and Kitasaitama!Green...Looks like I didn't do a good job widdat

I'm busy right now and not at home so I can't give comments properlyright now

I'll traverse your guys' creations later... though with my lack of visual creativity I'm going to have a hard time choosing which to choose, though I'd probably use the KharlBG mod more

Or, you know, use different BGs across the difficulties.

I'm also trying my best to TaikOsu M.Sai, but I'll still be getting the Taiko BGs just in case I fail at TaikOsuing this...

OK, I just thought of something for osu! of M.Sai, so I'm not gonna TaikOsu it

...now shit's gonna get remaked OTL

I can probably at least get the Oni done (using my super powers of plagiarism) and get it submitted over BSS, with a prototype of the ZN's difficulty over. But over these past hours and still going I'm finishing a lot of crap for school (term long projects are shit), so... yeah

And it's not what you think it is. I won't surrender a fight this easily;

I haven't told anybody, but ever since a few years ago, my hand had a minor condition. Even until today, this condition is preventing my right hand from being as fast as it could for long periods of time. I won't describe it, but one of the primary reasons why I despise high-BPM songs is because I am physically unable to do it.

M.Sai would take a while to FC for me. Let's just hope I won't kill myself playing it... literally.

I actually have a feeling it's Taiko's fault that I got this hand injury of mine...







Also, what's the general comments of the actual arcade players of the song? Actually I'm just concerned whether or not this should be put high up on the difficulty scale...

I think people are already debating whether Rotter (and Hataraku) should be
booted off the 4 gods.While it's agreed that Ryougen stays,some say
even KiSai should be booted off too.

So far MaSai's considered a challenger to the four gods,but
not quite up to said tier.Kinda like BRA ura's situation here.

Personally I'd keep the current four gods as it is,anything
tougher will be in a separate,higher tier.*coughOneMoreExtraStagecough*

Nah, I never thought of M.Sai as 4 god material (even after I failed it thrice on lepi's map :P ). I think people have gotten used to playing K.Sai and Rotter by now that it's not hard for them anymore.

The aliases the artists used in CARDINAL GATE -are- the four gods.
(Seiryu,Suzaku,Byakko,Genbu)
Even though they used the same aliases for sequels,I still refer to
the original four songs as the four gods.

Well anything less than 10 star on Oni is almost insignificant, so IMO he already ruined it since the second song

I don't think difficulty matters much to him though, as long as he can make the songs the way he wants him to be

Which is kind of odd considering that he's (in)famous for favoring difficulty... maybe he's getting old lol (he just turned 30, anyway)

Perhaps WRI was stated to be 8-star,but is in fact
much tougher than your average 8-star song
Either that,or Tatsh tosses out a Difficulty Spike in the form
of ura.

No, it's like a bad habit of him to make one new song that is crazy difficult, then it becomes popular, then when he makes the second song in the series he's always giving people a false impression that it will be as difficulty-oriented as the first, which it turned out not to be.

Alternatively,maybe the reason why Senpuu,Tenyou
and possibly WRI aren't FFFSODIFFICULT is because
their charts were made by someone other than Tatsh.

The only charts confirmed to be from Tatsh is Ryougen
and BRA Black Another.And we all know in what tiers they are.

FYI WRI's chart is indeed from Etou,and he (or was it Tatsh?) said that the
chart is for fun,not for being batshitinsane
