You have probably accidentally encountered Missingno. and it has corrupted the Active Users data. Begin a new save game and it should correct itself.
If you manage to guess 5 users correctly in a row you win a prize!!

Wait it's supposed to be resolved but mine still shows the blocks instead of names ;-;
Peppy decided the names were taking up too much space and weren't that useful, so the blocks are a temporary solution until something else happens for it
