What are the pros and cons of playing KDDK opposed to KKDD/DDKK?

I've only really played with KKDD and have been thinking about switching to KDDK, but I'm curious about what each playstyle's pros and cons are

I heard many times that kkdd style has it harder with streams on the higher diffs, while others told me they've got an easier time with 1/3 patterns.

Considering the rather low amount of kkdd style players in the top 100 over the years I guess the streaming part might got a point. (Can't really tell though, I've always been told by other players and friends, I never used this playstyle myself)

I do find myself having trouble with streams on high difficulty maps, so that might be a good reason for me to switch over. My only real concern is how long it'll take me to match my kkdd skill level with kddk. It feels like I'm playing an entirely new game

to me it seems DDKK is harder physically but easier to read while KDDK is harder to read and more awkward, but not requiring as much physical skill
but you can do well with both playstyles, Nurend (#6 Global) is DDKK

My main reason for considering to switch is because playing the game has started to quickly hurt my hands, and I knew that playing kddk wasn't as physically demanding. I've been playing less lately, but I guess if my hands get better then I might just keep playing kkdd

if it's because of the physical walls but you wanna keep the kkdd benefits, you can try changing your keybinds to grid ones, it's better if you have numpad (ex. 4512) because it allows better movements for your hands. others such as QWAS also can be applied. try with whatever you feel comfortable, it can be both

DD--->DK
KK--->DK

DDKK is easier to learn/read but it's significantly harder to get good accuracy on high OD. Monocolor streams and converts are harder to play as well.

Personally I don't see a reason to play DDKK on any map that I can read as KDDK.
