I should confirm this because I don't even remember this image. I didn't draw it, but thanks for the free credit.Cuddlebun wrote:

Unfortunally she didn't play Osu! so she added 4 cursors and not a single star :(awp wrote:

Yes so will I! I'm sure the mustache will accentuate it!Lizzehb wrote:

That too, but it's completely in addition to wanting to see Lizzehb in it. Better yet, Liz, buy two, wear them both, then send one to me.Lilac wrote:
You'd want it for yourself, MM.

It was an interesting piece of fanart, but I think it's way too complicated a design to be used for osu!, especially considering that Pippi looks like she is trying to fit into the simple EBA and Ouendan character styles. A cute, unique and easily recognizable little character is what would work best for osu!'s straightforward and simple design, not an overengineered gelatinous blob of pink.mathexpert9981 wrote:

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. The face also looks kind of flat to me. The hands look good; that's always a tough one for mefailboat wrote:

General tip:
To get better at drawing anime, stop drawing anime.
It's derived from realism in that it's a stylized representation of what we see in real life. It breaks a few rules to accommodate this stylization which is what results in the unique visual appearance of anime. However, one must first know the rules in order to break them, and the study of realism will lay a sound foundation from which you can build upon.
Yep, I know that I have problems with that. .__.'failboat wrote:

I think I remember hearing that's it's best to start with the most low level of the basics; the skeleton. While not as much fun, I think you're supposed to start with drawing skeletons, then move on to fleshed-out people, then go from therefailboat wrote:

The shape of the skeleton isn't as important as knowing what bits are straight and what bits bend. Meaning, you don't have to know what the bones themselves look like, since you never actually see them. What's more important is the meat that's slapped on to the bones - the musculature. Looking at a body with the skin removed and drawing the muscles is pretty educational.awp wrote:
