So the first season is done and we'll have to wait a while before season 2 begins. Such a difficult wait it shall be.

Lauren Faust has stated she's leaving the series as Executive Producer. Anticipation is still high, though.

I was reading an article on some of the better MLP FiM mashup trailers today and it talked about the show itself

Apparently, it's actually good. Not ironic good, like, good good. Should I give it a chance, I wonder?

Once my Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog DVDs arrive, I'll be needing something new to watch a couple months afterward. Candidate?

Yeah, it isn't just memetic babies making jokes; it's a really good show.

It has a beautiful soundtrack along with some musical queues by the characters, the animation is some of the best I've ever seen in 2D (and it's made in Flash 8 apparently!), the plot is actually engaging and interesting, and the jokes are actually funny. The whole thing does indeed have a magical feeling about it and eventually after a few episodes you'll find yourself really liking the show. There are a few things you can joke about like Twilight's every-episode-moral-lesson, but it's still wonderfully put together.

So I actually stooped to a low enough level to dirty my hands in the realms of fanfiction because Equestria Daily was holding a 300 word fanfiction submission event.
I really just spent about 10 minutes writing it as a joke just to see what would happen, so plz don't actually think less of me, this isn't serious.

Anyways, the reason I bring this up is because apparently 124 different individuals submitted a 300 word fanfiction following these guidelines. About My Little Pony. lol internet.
Out of the 124, 16 of them were selected as favorites from CerealVelocity, one of the contributors to this blog. The post is can be read here. All 124 of them are linked and the favorites are listed.
Apparently my fic was picked as one of the 16 favorites out of 124. Not sure what to think of this.
Here's my submission if you're too lazy to look.


....I guess I've truly gone full-fag. Not sure if I hate myself for it yet. It truly is all magical.
