The keyboard has only black keys by itself, but you can order a red esc extra and even yellow, blue or red wasd. If want you can even order keys without any letters or numbers printed on them (otaku edition).

But yeah they stand out a bit much maybe, but 99% of the time I'm looking at my monitor and not my keyboard. But even then it's a keyboard that should stand out :) (though they blend in better in real life, than showed on the picture)

The past week should have been entitled "shit happens" in my family. Here is one thing that happened in regard to me.

One of my 30" monitors broke. Gonna try to get it repaired but it depends on the cost (if any).

So, here's the current setup



P 23 + L 30 + L 30
(Thankfully the far right one that survives suffers nearly no pixel walk and as such is better than the one that broke, despite being the same model.)

Portrait is nice for web browsing actually... might cut my loss and get another 23 for portrait if the 30 turns out to be irreplaceable.

...and at least I'm not in Japan.

I know right.

Practically speaking, 2 23s might be better especially as I plan on going to university. If they don't fit on my desk in my room there I can always keep them at home for visits with my notebook. One VGA output and one HDMI output. :P

Flipped turned my desk 90 degrees so my speakers don't have to be on it. Mostly because there kind of isn't really enough space on the desk for that...

But oh well ! 142cm monitor width gooooooo !

For those of you who don't know, one of my 30 inchers broke a couple of weeks ago (fortunately it was covered on contents insurance and I'm expecting a replacement within the next couple of weeks).

Making the most of a bad situation, decided to swap out the Dell U3011 stand with the one off the broken monitor so I can max out the height of these beasts:



What did I do with the U3011 stand, you say?

A bit of a Frankenstein creation but it's much more solid than the sorry excuse for plastic Samsung gives you.

Replacement 30 arrived with poorly manufactured corner/casing (remind me not to use Hazro again...) but managed to cover it up with a webcam. At least the actual panel isn't damaged and seems not to have any dead/stuck pixels. For this I am thankful.

Speakers are under the desk:


EDIT: Got bored and relegated the tower to underneath the desk. Liking the space and the layout right here.

Quickly did a tidy up.
Temporary keyboard since I spilled coffee on the bazoo keyboard :(

EDIT: I popped off the 3 key caps to the right of F12 because they had "Power", "Wake Up" and "Sleep" button. And I kept accidently kept pressing them thinking it was Pause/Break, PrintScreen (I use those 2 buttons for TeamSpeak)

Pictures are a little big if you click on them, but I was too lazy to resize them.



Yes that is a cut-up iMac box I'm using as a PS3 stand. And the Apple logo is there because the previous user of this case put it there.
I wish I had multiple monitors though. ;_;

Who me? If you look at the picture carefully, there's actually another bed on the left of the desk. That's the one I sleep on. The one on the right isn't used so I kinda use it as a table.

Maybe less blurry, cell phone takes bad pictures. It's a 22" E228WFP. Had it for about 3 years.

I would, because as long as the stand is on the desk, the monitor isn't going anywhere - how do you think your monitor isn't falling over all the time ? ;)
This is why I have the touchscreen in the middle, since it's on a tripod kind of stand and I can't really do the same thing with that one as the two others.

But all the supporting weight is on the desk, so they're not going to fall down from there. :]
