Well, by my definition a farm is an overrated map. I used to do that too, and it was not good. I am stuck with my top plays with no way of beating them, so you need even more farm to even get remotely close or beat your top play. Unless you willingly farm, like I was, and still is fine, which I'm not, I can't comment on that. However, feeling of actual progression would be lost.

Another thing is accuracy, especially if you play for passes. It's really hard to fix acc if you can't beat your top scores. If you have all farms in your top 100, your acc would be shit forever unless you actually get good.

TL;DR losing track of progression and bad accuracy habit

i dont really care about my skill to much anymore because im not focusing on rank,just the score leaderboards,so if it does end up being all farm maps than so be it
