I just think it's a little weird releasing a title on the PSP on the grounds that the NGP/PSP2 has been announced(and possibly released later this year). But then again, the PSP is still going strong in Japan...

Technically speaking it's 6 games on the 'Nintendo generation' of Taiko, Wii and DS combined. Dont forget back during the PS2 days it was virtually the only console which Taiko was ever released on.

I needed to re-download every DLC song when I switched from my PSP-1000 to my PSP-2000 :/

I disagree. I have a US PSP and a Portable 2 UMD and it works fine. I think you're switching actual UMD with PSN content.
