My first beatmap EVAR is kinda finished but it feels like it needs some major polishing. I did an out of the ordinary song (and admittedly I just plucked it off the radio with little concern for anything but the season related to it.

I'm only just getting used to the editor and its lack of features so most of this is experimental and probably feels wonky on the playthrough, though I didn't experience that myself. I'd appreciate some advice to polish up this song, if it needs any, and maybe some help getting it the same feel as the real game for such a repetitive song. (I had better choices but they won't sync)

The BPM and offset sound fine, although it's hard to tell if the metronome stays with the song in the middle since there really isn't any percussion there.

The beat combos around 1:22 and 1:25 are too close together, either make them all on the same gridspace or make them normal distances away, they're too close and when I first saw them, I thought they were going to be rapid beats. Same thing with the similar combos at 2:17

All of the breaks feel too long, it's a relatively easy song and the length of the breaks aren't needed.

The clover sliders at 1:09 are set up in a way so it's hard to tell which way you are supposed to go. Although the weird sliders starting at 2:31 look fine and it's easy to tell which way to go.

Finally, the beat combos starting at 1:50 just don't feel like they go with the beat, unless it's some background music I can't hear. Other than the above things, it's a really great first beatmap, and after you fix them, I suggest moving this thread to the completed forum so more people can play it.

Ok, I'll fix the beats first.. I suspected they may have been too misleading but I couldn't think of a good way to lay them out otherwise, I can probably do that now.

The breaks... I suppose they are too long, but the song is far too repetitive, and is lacking a lot of anything to make anything other than a shape variation. That, and if some kind of story images get implemented like in the real game, I have the room for what i've visualized that I may be able to adjust later.

Thanks for confirming the problem with the slider... It even tripped me up once. I'll fix that. As for the "weird" sliders, they were supposed to have certain shapes but they seem either impossible or beyond my understanding with the tools available, save for the tree-thing I stuck in the end.

at 1:50 I felt I had to do SOMETHING to add a shred of difficulty to an otherwise simple pattern, during a "different" part of the song. I do know that if it weren't for the pacing, the song would be a snoozefest. I don't know if you mean I shouldn't keep it in or what, though...

I've fixed most things except for the flower sliders because they HAVE to be that way just to run the right length and keep the shape. Hopefully I can get some last minute suggestions (if any need be made) before I move it over.
