Another problem here:

It seems when spectating someone else, supporters cannot download from osu!direct directly now. It shows you don't have the map but not give you the information of the map.

Maybe have a toggle called "Adaptative garbage collection" for people with not a lot of ram.
Cause when a freeze happens midgame it just disturbs my flow even if it's during a break.
I have 12gb of ram and a i7 and the older way of garbage collecting worked better for me...
Oh well I can deal with it for now :cry:

That's interesting; testing here showed no difference in performance... Usually the garbage collection will run on a separate thread and not affect gameplay at all, so something weird is going on there.

When I tried the test build (tried it last week) it "always" happened on the very last note before a break , now it "usually" just happens on break.
I thought it was just my machine but after a few of my friends experienced it I deducted it was the garbage collection after reading the changelog.

When I alternate between osu!.exe and osu!test.exe, UAC on Win7 gets angry. I didn't get that before.

If I dont use fullscreen mode, then I only have 640x480 & 800x600 to choose
However, they r too small, hurt my eyes really bad
Because I used to play like this "NO Fullscreen Mode" with "1024x768"
Is there a way to slove this :?:

This is correct behaviour. It is changing your file associations to the new osu! version. Please choose test or public and keep running that (or disable UAC) if this bothers you.

This sounds good on paper, but GC also involves compaction, which needs to lock data being moved.

What's wrong in it being on the break, when you don't need to press anything? It's better than having this right in the middle of the deathstream

It should still fix all lag issues during gameplay, but it has adversely added freezes during breaks to people who weren't experiencing such freezes in the first place.

Now I'm having another problem. When I beat a map, if the letter is better (even if the score is worse), it's the new letter that gets displayed. Example:

That always happens to me and will only occur if your osu! client crash. For example, you have a C on a random beatmap and later you FC it, if the osu! client crash, then it wont be saved in your local rank, you will still "see" that C. It happens to you on every map you play?

I tried that, it didn't work.

Edit - yup, tried reuploading my avatar as well. I haven't tried just rebooting my comp though.

Did you try re-uploading again your avatar? What about changing your avatar pressing the "Change avatar" from the osu! client. By the way, I can't see your avatar ingame.

Found a critical error.



If you press F2 and and you choose some of those "sorts" options, the game will crash, it happens with "Filtrar no jugados" "Filtrar no rankeados" "Filtrar rankeados".

PD: I still have mini "freeze" for about 1 to 2 seconds when changing sort option for beatmaps (Date, Artist, Difficulty, Mostrar todo), and sometimes the audio will do the same (freeze).

The only issue I see with it is with beatmaps that have been loaded into Osu using the current build, and then moving it to a folder within the song folder. All beatmaps done this way prior to this build work fine for me just the ones that I have loaded into Osu since patching up.

I'm not too fond of the new main menu, but i will get used to it after a while
i noticed also that there's a bit more freeze/lag now, i can play with that through...
Everything else is fine....but....peppy....that osu! cookie....it looks weird. :o

so right now the only way to fix this is to get a new pb.. i think

but i havent tried getting a new pb with yet another letter. for example if you get a new #1 at local and it's a B, will the B be updated or will some score with a lower combo still get its letter forced there. but this is not important.

anyhow its not an issue, but it's just confusing when you look for bad scores to improve, just by looking at the list things may seem fine but there could be hidden C's everywhere

For some reason my game suddenly decided to recheck all my songs when I never saw a confirmation or have i pressed f5, it also removed the songs i downloaded just a few seconds ago

Thanks for providing so much detail that I am instantly solve the problem. That said, it is likely your internet connection. Please try running a ping -n1000 cho.ppy.sh from command prompt and paste the summary output.

Anybody else having a strange, intermittent lag/loop/thing? While playing or playing in editor, occasionally the song will jump backwards like a quarter of a second, while the actual map pauses, until the song catches up to the map. Then everything continues normally.

I couldn't reproduce the problem by replaying the map and going to the same spot, though. It's very annoying cause it kills combos and stuff.

I never got this before the updates so that's why I suspect it's the problem. Charts show CPU, RAM, Disk usage as normal, btw.

this is happening to me with songs prior, haven't moved to a folder within Songs since update.

Could you please list your system specs; mainly CPU, graphics, operating system and audio.

b1801 is up with most bugs fixes. Editor memory usage is not yet fixed, but I am working on that next. I decided to put this bugfix release up as soon as possible to address the more serious issues.

Is it just me, or do my ranks not go up nor down? (Total rank)

I've been 4334 since the update now...
and my sister hasnt been moving at all with her rank either. Just wondering.

I'm using a custom cursortrail and no cursor so it uses the default one, the behavior kinda changed since b1800. It seems the trail stays on screen longer and is brighter during movement...

Oh wait it isn't appearing when my cursor doesn't move, that's what changed I think.
Using template cursor fixed it, it seems the transparency or something on the new cursor changed. Oh well i liked the new default cursor ;(

Yep it says 1802.

I dont get any errors, and my profile does not update. It doesnt add my scores, give me exp, change my rank up or down, doesnt mess with my accuracy either. The same with my sisters account.

I just noticed my webpage rank is different now than the one in game... 4328. It updated but it seems like its way far behind...

...W-Wait what...? So.. you changed the cursor back to what it was before right? I really liked the new one (with the + and the different cursortrail behaviour). I'm not sure what your plans for the cursor are, but I think if you made it changeable via the skin.ini file like the way MMsliders are, then that would be really nice.

Ok... now my problem has gone from unplayed maps, to maps I have played successfully already as well. I have re-downloaded the map(s) and they are not in any nested folders within the song folder.

a) create a thread in the support forum.
b) post exactly what you see before the screenshot.
c) steps to replicate if possible.

Cursor is problem :(

Its the map's cursor. Go to Options/Skins, and mark this option: http://puu.sh/1orT

Or delete it from the folder

You have to click Fullscreen Mode first, and then choose your Screen Resolution :lol:

You can switch your resolution from config file located in osu! folder.

Probably because 1280xX or Xx960 are your desktop resolutions? In which case you shouldn't be using that as a window resolution.

my desktop resolutions is 1280 1024~

( ignore it , i changed "osu!.Administrator.cfg" file ,then i can use 1280 960 now lol
