OSCT is back! This time with better (and easier) organization *I swear*
OSCT 2 is a osu!Std 1v1v1v1 based solo-tournament for 2k-5k ranked players, played in ScoreV2

Tournament size has been decreased to 32 players due to lack of registrations D:
All changes are marked

*DISCORD IS REQUIRED* https://discord.gg/QEnuKjr
*Your Discord name MUST be your in-game name, otherwise you will not obtain any roles*
*We are desperately looking for Referees, please DM me on Discord*

- Tournament size is 64 32 players, players that are first to register are first to be accepted
- Rank Range is 2k-5k, read about the “Badge Weighted Seeding” (BWS) below
- Score format is ScoreV2
- Lobby’s consist of 4 players, while every match 2 players advance into the next round
- Rank limits are 100 ranks past and below the original range (rank calculated 27.07)
- Matches will not be streamed

- At match begin every player rolls; the lower your roll, the earlier you will ban
- Every player has 1 ban in Group Stage and Round of 16, 2 bans in Quarter-, Semi- and Grand Finals
- All remaining maps will be played from top to bottom
- #1 gets 4 points, #2 gets 3 points, #3 gets 2 points, #4 gets 1 point
- Points get added up at the end of the match and the 2 players with the highest score advance onto the next round
- If players (#1,) #2 and #3 (,#4) happen to have the same score, the Tiebreaker will be played to determine the matches winners (affects only those with tied score)

- Freemod requires you to pick at least 1 mod (HD/HR/FL), while multiple picks are allowed
- Adding HD/HR/FL on the Tiebreaker is not required, but possible
- If a player does not show any sign of attendance until 5 minutes after match beginning (if not given word with admins), the match will start regardless. Joining a match while it’s in progress is possible, but you lose your right to ban and will be awarded zero points for already played maps
- Due to the number of players in a match, warm-ups are not possible
- Semi- and Grand Finals share the same pool, since they are played on the same weekend
- If you fail in the middle of the map but revive and are not greyed out when the map ends, your points count, if you are greyed out at the end of a map, your points equal 0
- If a player disconnects before any score points are made, the map will be replayed. Unfortunately we cannot confirm legitimacy of a disconnect that happens during a map, so if a player disconnects he will not get any points for that map
*If Staff detects an inelegible player in the screening phase (after regs close), they will be disqualified. You are inelegible if you have had a severe account infringement, suspicion of account sharing, or having appealed for an unban within the past 12 months*
Please note, that the Referee has the final say over anything that happens during the match, and they may nullify any scores if necessary

Round of 16: 10.08 – 11.08

Average SR: 5.4*

Round of 16: 4xNomod / 2x Freemod / 2xHidden / 2xHardrock / 2xDoubletime / 1xTiebreaker
Average SR: 5.6*
Quarterfinals: 5xNomod / 3x Freemod / 2xHidden / 2xHardrock / 2xDoubletime / 1xTiebreaker
Average SR: 5.7*
Semi- and Grand Finals: 5xNomod / 3x Freemod / 2xHidden / 2xHardrock / 2xDoubletime / 1xTiebreaker
Average SR: 5.8* while it varies heavily

- BWS is a tournament-minded seeding method intended to more accurately seed players and enforce rank restrictions based on the player's tournament badges
- In short, BWS artificially "ranks up" players based on the amount of badges they have
- In terms of how much a player ranks up per badge, each badge is worth more than the one before it
- More specifically, the formula is as follows:

rank^(0.9937^(badges^2))

- The formula caps at rank 1. That is, a player can't go past rank 1.00 BWS (even if you were rank 2 it'd take like 30 badges to actually get rank 1.00 BWS)
- Remember, BWS is not intended to reflect solo play skill. Read the first point again
(Yes this explanation has been stolen from the Hippo Cup, simply because it can’t be said any better than that really. Forgive me this1neguy)
