Myself.
For various reasons.

---------------------------------

Your grandmother invites you to tea, but you're surprised when she gives you a pistol and orders you to kill someone. What do you do?

a. I'd give her whatever she wants to spare his life.
b. I'd ask for a minigun so I could do the job right.
c. I'd do what grandma told me to.
d. I'd throw my tea in her face.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I would ask for a minigun so I could do the job right, then do what my grandma tell me. After that I beg her to spare his life but soon realize that I killed him so I throw my tea at her face.

I'm... not sure, actually.

I think I regret having ignored everything by immersing myself with gaming as opposed to... y'know, actually talking with my parents?

and helping them through their shit, y'know?

but at the same time, I wouldn't have become the person I am, so...

I don't know.

Are you normally reserved when it comes to sexual topics, or do you not care and boldly share whatever's to your liking?
45Traeath
I don't mind listening that topic, but I'm the type who will mostly try to keep things(/information) for myself regardless of the nature / just answer with a minimal answer.
On another hand, I sometimes try to make jokes of any nature (lewd ones included) as long as I know I won't offend anyone nearby or I won't get my word reported to someone sensitive to it.

EDIT: My cursor missed the next line.

Ask me this around 3/4 months ago, and I would've said, without a shadow of a doubt, people's love of socialising. I used to find socialising extremely scary.

However, my friend has (indirectly) taught me throughout the months to enjoy socialising, and I enjoy these forums. I've grown to trust people a lot more and enjoy expressing myself. I'm actually excited to go to college mainly because I'm excited to start socialising with a nearly blank slate. No longer have such a huge, sharp reputation of being the quiet kid.

I don't really know.. I guess my answer is, when it comes to home, my family's enjoyment of living unhealthily.

The way I was brought up, and continue to be brought up, doesn't put any emphasis on health at all. Nobody cares about health. We eat junk food all the time because it tastes good and makes us happy. That was our only thought on health. And I was perfectly happy with this. Actually, I loved it!

It wasn't until my dad started to take care of his weight (he lives on his own), when I started to think that maybe I didn't enjoy to be fat, and that I should join. I started to slowly but surely cut my food intake. However, being more aware of illnesses which have increased likelihood of affecting those who are obese really sped this process up. I started to exercise 2 days ago on my trampoline. I keep pushing harder and harder to lose weight. I haven't drank soda in months. I've been a bit naughty and had a bit of chocolate today, but not 1/10th as much as I would've on an average day 4 months ago.. LITERALLY, too, no exaggeration, I did the maths!

For some reason, people I know are seeing my restricted eating as an issue. I think I'm mostly okay.

I don't know how much weight I've been losing, due to no working scales. I would like to buy some new batteries for the ones we have. Sometimes, when I go shopping for my mum, she allows me to spend some of the extra money on some things. This is a plan I'm definitely writing down!

I find it weird that nobody else in my household is following me. Perhaps their eyes will be open soon? For now, I'm mostly on my own, though exercising with my dad sometimes. He does enjoy to have me over his house, because I let him do some of his 10,000 steps (me joining in too, of course!) and I eat his home cooked meals.

Sometimes, I just want to give some sort of speech to my family, warning them to join me and change. I hate seeing the people I love drowning in junk food and lack of exercise, it hurts!

Same question, I enjoyed to think about this.

Religion, I guess. I understand parts of it. I just don't understand how people can go around talking about it like its 100% the truth and udeniable and incontrivertable. What about history? What about other religions? What about, you know, proof and evidence?

Like, I'm all for spiritual fulfillment. I'm all for finding a sense of peace and reassurance. If you wanna do that, then by all means, do it. In fact, I encourage you. I think that stuff is healthy for people and helps them grow. By why can't you respect other peoples beliefs and opinions? Why does your way have to be the way? I mean, there's literally nothing that even works as evidence in your favor. Like, nadda. For any religion. So wtf are you doing and how can you be so convinced it's true?!? The hell?

People who believe in certain religions don't all think the same. Even though it says in their religion to do this and do that, I believe we should have our own thoughts and ideas on life besides from religion. Even if you're not supposed to, we were all created differently, so difference is unavoidable. Just my opinion on the matter

I used to be in the Atheist community a lot before I became Theist. Atheists do the exact same with evolution and the Big Bang theory. In fact, I've come across more Atheists who try to convert people than religious people. There's a pretty common stereotype in the Atheist community that religious people are all intellectually inferior to them, simply because they believe in a God and 'don't follow science' (despite lack of scientific proof for a lack of God, and many scientists being Theist). The attitude of many Atheists, which I used to find okay-ish (like, no big deal), I now found disgusting. Maybe because it's a bit closer to heart? Or maybe I've just developed more of a conscience in time? I understand religious people encouraging people to follow their faith for religious reasons. They usually have good intentions - They want people to accept God and therefore get into Heaven (eternal paradise). However, it just seems that the bad portion of Atheists have no reason other than to be egotistical.
But this is only my experience. What I've seen.

Also, just putting this out there, I'm not converted by anyone. I've just had my mind opened, been educated more on Christianity and Islam, and decided that there must surely be quite a strong likelihood of a God existing. However, I don't follow any actual religion for the time being. I don't believe that there's a Holy book. I don't believe that God interacted with people. I believe he just created the world and left it alone, and is watching. I believe in an afterlife similar to the beliefs held by Catholics - Purgatory (to clean the soul), Heaven and Hell. So, clearly not converted, because I don't know anyone who has this attitude. I've just found certain parts believable and put them together.

I'll bring back a question - Any band/artist you just discovered that you like?

Taboo tatoo. I watched it had it aired an actually pulled through all of it because I had a lot of time on my hand. It was just awfull.
On a different kind of worst. The love live school idol movie. I absolutely loved love live season 2 and the movie was just such a disapointment. The movie ignored a lot of what made the series good. A part of love live that was very important was that in each arc, they are writing a song while dealing with whatever the plot throws at them and once the arc is over, they sing the song and the song becomes the completion of a character arc which gives more meaning to every song. In the movie they just sing all of the time out of context and the song have absolutely no meaning.

What's your opinion on advertisements?

I don’t particularly have any opinion on it, partly because without advertisement, many of the programs I use wouldn’t have enough fund to operate. Sure it could be annoying sometimes but it isn’t THAT annoying.

Sq
Husa
if its not lewd then its ok

sq
Kyomaku
Ads are trash, should instead label it as news and they should be highly selective. You can mark things you care about and want to receive news for. Discounts in local stores for products / products you like, news in areas you care about, such as electronics / gaming and there is no point to see an ad twice, when something is new, a trailer is fine, a reminder when its out is cool, a reminder when there is a discount is cool, but I'd need the options to disable all of that stuff individually, cause I'm not looking for a similar object, if I already have one that I like, if I want an upgrade etc, I'll manually look for stuff. Ads are just manipulation, hence they way they are, they shouldn't exist.

SQ cause lazy right now
Carmlillball
As a whole, they can be useful. A recent example is, I've found out about a band I now love from an advert (in fact, I'm listening to one of their songs now).

However, most I see tend not to be useful. And they can be annoying. If there's too many during a Youtube video, for example. Too many ads also tends to lag my computer.

I have an Adblocker which allows a certain amount of adverts to be on a site and I can block individual things such as pop-ups. This is very useful, because I don't want to completely remove ads, but I don't want too many shown either.

Sq
Achromalia
I'm actually a bit indifferent to them. Could be the apathetic demeanor, but I don't really care about the ads. They don't interest me much, and I don't really find them all that annoying as long as i can eventually get past them.

Any profession you'd like to work in?
Nate Bait
I'm kinda jumbled up with what specific profession I want to pursue. Maybe entering something involving computers, programming and the like (as a major/main prof.), and music composing as a side hobby.

SQ
samX500
My answer is pretty similar to Nate's. I am currently studying programming at Cegep (a Quebec only school in between high school and uni) and I plan to pursue this field in the future. As side hobby music is definitely my top choice, I wish I could learn to make vocaloid/utaloid cover or play the euphonium. Composing my own music is also something I'd be intersted in though that seems a lot less acessible because from the outside it looks like it needs a lot of equipement and especially experience to make good song.

Carmlillball wrote:

What even is 'the big black'?

Big Black was an American punk rock band from Evanston, Illinois, active from 1981 to 1987. Founded by singer and guitarist Steve Albini, the band's initial lineup also included guitarist Santiago Durango and bassist Jeff Pezzati, both of Naked Raygun. In 1985, Pezzati was replaced by Dave Riley, who played on Big Black's two full-length studio albums, Atomizer (1986) and Songs About Fucking (1987).

Big Black's aggressive and abrasive music was characterized by distinctively clanky guitars and the use of a drum machine rather than a drum kit, elements that foreshadowed industrial rock. The band's lyrics flouted commonly held taboos and dealt frankly—and often explicitly—with politically and culturally loaded topics including murder, rape, child sexual abuse, arson, racism, and misogyny. Though the band's lyrics contained controversial material, the lyrics were meant to serve as a commentary or a display of distaste for the subject matter. They were staunchly critical of the commercial nature of rock, shunning the mainstream music industry and insisting on complete control over all aspects of their career. At the height of their success, they booked their own tours, paid for their own recordings, refused to sign contracts, and eschewed many of the traditional corporate trappings of rock bands. In doing so, they had a significant impact on the aesthetic and political development of independent and underground rock music.

In addition to two studio albums, Big Black released two live albums, two compilation albums, four EPs, and five singles, all through independent record labels. Most of the band's catalog was kept in print through Touch and Go Records for years following their breakup.
