2 years+ = oldfag
2-1 year = middlefag
Less than a year = newfag
2 years+ = oldfag
2-1 year = middlefag

I think it would be better if you gauge it based on activity. I'm 1 year and 3 months, but then I only started becoming active around August, so that's 1 year and 1 month.
