Metroid: Other M. Got it recently.

So far, it's not bad. But the presence of movie scenes, humans w/ faces, and drama? Takes some getting use to.

Also been going crazy on the Scott Pilgrim game with friends. The music is wonderful (and I don't even like chiptune) and the game itself is very well made . . . except for when it crashes.

When I am gaming, I'm only doing so to calm down/socialize with some members of the townhouse/on-campus buds.

  1. Pokemon SoulSilver (there's an on-campus tournament circuit starting up, time to wreck the face of everyone who believes that A) Smogon is the best thing ever and B) the blitzkrieg is the best strategy ever)
  2. Soul Nomad and the World Eaters (The only PS2 NIS SRPG I did not play, so I unwind with that after a stressful day; I'm quite enjoying it so far, and Gig is fucking amazing)
  3. Bullet Witch (Our house is filled with gaming masochists, so we sometimes get bad games off GameFly for the hell of it; finishing this up on the final difficulty, shit's so easy and so stupid)
  4. Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis (We just got this one in, let's see how shit it is)
  5. Vindictus (FUCK YES)
  6. Dokapon Kingdom (RPG party game made by Sting? Sign me up)

Well, I'm really bad at those type of games such as Call of Duty and bla bla bla.
I finished two games last month. Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero World Tour! Playing Osu! and Sims 3 Late night right now. I'm very very picky when it comes to games. ;O

Gotta like your pick Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth <3 That game has some really nice music.. Game itself started to be bit too hard to me at some point so i dropped it. I Will definitely pick it up again though.. winter in Finland is damn long and it's just perfect time for playing games :)

Valkyrie Profile has always been a bit intense as far as difficulty is concerned (judging only by the original/Lenneth and Silmeria), but that's mostly because it's got quite a few intricacies that they don't usually properly explain, especially in 1/Lenneth. The period system in 1/Lenneth is also very annoying, but it makes the game feel a bit more alive and emphasizes intellectual skill point distribution/proper planning.

Also, of course the music is wonderful, it's Motoi Sakuraba. <3 He is one of the superstars of video game music in my mind, with such a large portfolio of work from so many different styles. The Valkyrie Profile games have especially memorable/brilliantly-composed music, fitting very well with the general setting and fitting the mood exactly. Not to mention the pieces are lovely to listen to on their own.
