...and you listed one line as having to hit both 1st-left kat and 2nd-right kat. You have to press them simultaneously?

Wow a lot has really changed when I left the forums for a small while. Anyways...

For Kidaruma2000, you need to have the first 3 codes unlocked before this one works.

The fact that Namco released this code before unlock 3 was released tricked a lot of people. Even the one I saw during my holiday in Japan didn't have Kidaruma even though it had the first 3 sets.

About Taiko DS3 (which seems to be the main talk here atm), it was really fun. I did the whole thing on Geki-kara (highest you can pick), beat boss battles, did all the challenges, opened all gift boxes and bought out every single item in the stores. That big purple stomping guy was the hardest imo, followed by that monster king. (How did he become that anyway?)

About songs, I was disappointed to see a lot of songs didn't make it. Monster Hunter Medley, Punishment, Tank, and Metal Police are examples. But at least the songs in this game were actually tough. The YMCK/Cake Dude song, Le Tombeau de Couperin, Metal Hawk BGM 1, that monster king's theme, Daitara 8551, Hyakki Yakou (Normal notes really stood out to me), mint tears, and above all Hataraku.

Daily dojo is really slow paced... I'm already at Tatsujin and it's still giving me 7-star Muzukashiis even though I FC'ed everything past that. I hope there isn't another gift that involves 200 (204?) golds either (looking at you DS2).

And aquabluu, thanks to your blog I was able to get all the password unlockables.

Hopefully there would be more sound unlockable songs that cover the 4 I mentioned. Or at least be in the future Wii 3 (WITH URA).

@Properller: Have you done that 'Taiko Tower' challenge yet? After finishing the storyline, go the southwest corner of the world map, you should see some arena named Okinawa there. If you're level 50 and have at least 1000 bucks, you can take the challenge.

That's what I was referring to when I said "boss battles". I got a crown for beating that challenge. (No bodypiece to match that...? )

One thing that I have to say though, if you're not at least level 40 when you face the purple stomping guy, you're toast. Especially on Geki-kara where it uses the Oni map.

I got there I was level 38 lol...

As far as I know there isn't a time limit. Otherwise it would be pretty much impossible to enter Kidaruma's code.

And, I need DS3 help again. I have all the sounds, but for hats/costumes, I have one missing. It's second row from the bottom, and second column from the right, both in the exact same slot. (It's the last next to the password unlockables.) Any idea what is required?

Maybe we can just make another thread where only aqua should post

It will contain the maplist. Then the first post of this thread should contain the link to the new thread

And then this thread will be left solely for discussion and submissions.

How's that sound? We need a BAT/Moderator to sticky the new thread once it's up though.

We'll also need permission for someone to monitor the thread just in case someone not named aqua decides to reply in it...

Zekira's idea sounds good The thread with the list has to be stickied too, though.

If the other thread will be discussing about Taiko maps, then what will happen to this one? Become a general Taiko discussion, or keeping us updated with more maps? I hope this thread doesn't get closed...

In other news, 300 playcount finally, getting me this beetle costume to complete my entire clothing set. Currently working on FCing everything, did all Kantan/Futsuu/Muzukashii, and all Oni 8-star and below plus Knuckle Heads, working on Le Tombeau de Couperin atm. I probably would stop once I finish off the 9 stars though, Hataraku and Metal Hawk are plain impossible...

Just finish all except Hataraku and Metal Hawk, that should be enough

Still working on trying to FC Metal Hawk though... I wonder if I can actually get my last gold crown >_>

@aqua: problem is we have to contact someone, but I really think that we need a separate thread because of the millions of maps we have now.

I haven't forgotten about the taiko website. But we will have to wait a long time for the CMS I wanted to use for it.

Meanwhile please take note of this:
Start reuploading the taiko maps to two places - http://kodoup.astoni.sh and http://sharebee.com

Sharebee uploads the map and posts it to many file hosts at once, the link you get for sharebee will contain links to downloads at each of the upload sites available through that service. Got it?

This way even if my hosting is to be stopped or disrupted we have file mirrors.

This is how the new taiko website will work for the authentic maps:

Each assigned admin will have their own site "backend" account. You will be using a built in editor to update the article(s) contained on the authentic map page. The process will be similar to this:
1. Write Taiko no Tatsujin - Map Name :: download 1 | download 2
2. Highlight "download 1" and click make hyperlink button.
3. Enter the KodouUpload link and click OK to confirm.
4. Highlight "download 2" and click make hyperlink button.
5. Enter the Sharebee link and click OK to confirm.

Something like this would work well, and if you want to change or donate a mirror that can be done too.

User custom map pages are to be maintained by the user who owns it and they can use whatever hosting they want to, but they are responsible for it.

I have chosen these people as they are the ones who work most in this thread in regard to authentic maps.
If you know any other worthy applicants, let me know and I'll add them to the list.

Once the website is up I can write a short tutorial on how to use whatever system I put into place.

@aquabluu: Please maintain this list as much as you possibly can through your own methods. If you keep the list on the forum, once the site is up I will ask you to send me the post content as you see it in the post editor inside a .txt file so I can convert the map list to the website to start us off. Hyperlinks require different code to the [url] tags that are used by this forum.

There should probably be someone working in rehosting all the .osz's lol. My internet sucks so I can't do that.

Also, I haven't seen something awesome in a while lol
