CLG choked that win vs G2
Failing in what way? Half the struggle of winning the clutch rounds is a great game sense. @ MGE, 9/10 people's aim isn't going to be amazing.Elicchi wrote:
any tips on climbing the ladder? currently MGE but having trouble going up because I keep failing the clutch rounds. also tips on how to get better at headshots?
Nerves will disappear once you do it more and gain more confidence in your own abilities. I am an AWPer too, you might find a lot of sucess on Dust2 as an AWPer due to mid/long/snipers nest positions in B etc. Lots of wide open space for you to control choke points from a distance. You will more often than not get a natural entry frager in your public MM groups anyway, someone who is just eager and rushes in and checks the common hot spots. Forgot to mention in my previous posts that people also play with a 4:3 res / stretched etc as this usually makes player models wider (thus their head) is an easier target, but seriously for headshots its just practice and proper crosshair placement. This is hard as an aggressive AWPer, but if you're playing AK or M4 take your time to preaim positions as you clear them, like entry onto A bombsite (Dust) from Cat, preaim the door frame/ninja/barrels/plateau/A ramp/Elevator/Goose/Car etcElicchi wrote:
I get too nervous and my aim becomes absolute crap. I know its better to avoid situations like that but my position is usually AWPing and all I do is get as much information as I possibly could while doing my best to kill people as well. I'm not a very good entry fragger. :/ but thanks for the tips still. I'll take note of that.

I'd honesty recommend watching professional games too. You'll learn a lot (with the help of analyast desks/play by play commentators too) before you even jump in to the game. I'll give you a good starting pointMiTsuw wrote:
CS is not very demanding so I guess it'll be ok, and everyone plays with video settings at the lowest btw.
I read a lot of posts about people asking how to climb the ladder, guys don't bother yourself with the ladder, just play to improve your aim/gamesense (+ crossfire & trading kills, smokes, flashes etc.). And keep in mind that a player's rank doesn't mean anything since boosting someone in this game is pretty easy, you can go on faceit or esea if you want some "challenging" matchmaking.

Well yeah, it's not game-breaking, but it's something you don't need in a game based on skill. I mean, even the actual pros don't have a chance at "mastering" the increased randomness. If someone is skilled enough to kill you e.g. from pit to A-site on Dust II with godly spray, their skill shouldn't be "nerfed" by adding more random spread if they are truly that good.GSG95 wrote:
you know, when i read all the crap everyone says about the rifle nerf they say it like it's literally impossible to even hit the floor. everyone is crying really damn hard. fuck, when i logged on and played everything was not that bad, really. it has changed not so much for the better but seriously did this update make you forget how to use a fucking mouse? while i do think this rifle nerf should fuck off i think a lot these people complaining are silvers using this as an excuse for their bad aim.
there is this place on reddit where you can help get rid of it. because this really has no place here in CS:GO.
https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensiv ... s_removed/
send emails to volvo there. so the people that have actual problems with this can be satisfied. i noticed that this patch has really affected players who could do long range sprays and that was their playstyle. since rng they couldn't do very much. and i feel for these people because they are being drowned out by crying silvers. and also the fact that making a playstyle no longer viable is just wrong, wtf volvo?
exactly, man! thank god you said it RNG has no place in this game. or any competitive game for that matter, it would make skills matter a lot less. valve has no clue about what their patches do. they even started ignoring the pros. their most dedicated players for fuck's sake even they don't like this shit.you're god damn right about how if someone could spray from long to pit, they deserve the kill. i have to say this the second time. i still have no clue what they were thinking when they were doing this. i for one certainly mind the rifle changes but not to the level where i would quit (but if people want to quit because of this update, should anyone really be surprised because this is not a good update let me tell you.). i was just pointing out people that act like this update suddenly made them lose control over their fucking wrists. those people give off the impression that the CS community is a lot more retarded than it is.M8gazine wrote:

I don't mind changes, I don't even find the rifle nerf absolutely dreadful (I mainly joked in the first comment of mine), I just dislike the way Valve thinks is best (aka "add RNG lel"). It's like if Peppy suddenly said "<good osu player> is too good at circle clicking, we need to make the game more difficult by using <random thing nobody can learn to master>". That's my main problem with the current update/patch of CS:GO: they use RNG to solve most of the gun-related problems while things that don't affect skill level could be used (e.g. damage falloff increased). I just hope it's not going to go further than that.

Liquid do have the firepower to beat a tier 1 team, but with the peaked adreN gone, koosta filling in, and nitr0 heavily underperforming, Liquid are in a gray zone rnKinkiN wrote:
skillwise, i think Liquid is good enough to beat EU tier 1 teams ( which they did )
I don't really understand what you mean by "mentality." If you mean composure, I agree completely. They choked their two leads and gave up 15 match points. Since they never got to such a high placement for a tournament of this caliber before, I think the nerves got to them. LG have been in majors before and many big tournaments, so they can work from their experience and keep calm and grind out the rounds.KinkiN wrote:
the problem lies within NA mentality ( as you can see on the major, even the fans are toxic ) no offense tho to you Americanos. cheers
i thought only Hiko that have good mentality
adreN usually only performs good in LAN. and Liquid only needs Hiko as in game caller (not IGL since they have coach James now ) so koosta is definitely a better choice. but now they have 2 heavy AWPers and that's the bad point.California wrote:

I don't think adreN can come up to the level he performed this major again. It's not like igl duties were the only thing keeping away from performing at a pretty decent level. Even when he was in ibp with dazed as igl, he wasn't fragging out. I really hope he does prove me wrong though.
i'd rather call that as "mentality" not "composure", as i means it's their personality ( mental state ) that's badCalifornia wrote:

As for the fans being toxic, I don't think it's fair to say that from the major, we can see NA fans are toxic. Literally every fanbase has toxic people in it. I thought the crowd showed a decent amount of respect for the other team. Of course, if you're going to play against a team from the home soil, you should expect the crowd to cheer against you.

source for this? I've never seen any interviews where pros talk about teammates blaming each other often. The few times when team comms were released, it seemed pretty okay iirc. and last, ex6tenz. idk why the fak he's called as the best IGL in the world. imo a good IGL would have to be good at all aspects in the game ( strats, aim, and AWP so they can fill any role when a teammate dies ). Happy ( RiP EnVy no need to tell me that ) and Karrigan are good examples, but not ex6. both Happy and Karrigan knew how to use their teammates correctly, ex6 doesn't

BOT aims are pretty damn accurate (even easy bots) what make them difference is likely the time they will kill you. e.g maybe easy bots will kill you with hs 5 secs after you encounter them and expert bots will kill you 2 secs after you encounter themHe Ang Erika wrote:
Why do NORMAL difficulty bots ALWAYS do ridiculously well against me (human player), like killing me with shotgun headshots from 200 units away repeatedly while I'm running with a knife, prefiring around a corner with a 5-7 and always land headshot with the first bullet, totally obliterating my existence with a UMP from 300 units away in less than a second before I can even spot their pixel size presence while I'm in mid-air jumping from crate to crate etc. But when bots face off against bots, they both look at each other, stand completely still for 2 seconds, proceeds to purposely aiming the crosshair outside of each others' hitbox, then act like retards, couldn't even hit each other with 50 bullets of full Negrev spam at almost point blank range down a tight narrow hallway while both of them are standing absolutely still. :X Do bots have a special hate for humans or something?
