Unfortunately, the Quality Assurance Team has decided to disqualify this beatmap. The following is a list of reasons and examples for the disqualification. Readability issues
Overlapping sliders appear and disappear in improper times, combined with the nature of SV (Slider Velocity) changes in this map makes a incredible impact on readability.
- 00:20:382 (2) - This slider appears before the previous slider at the same place before it disappears completely causing readability issues
The SV changes could be more distinguishable/readable between each other, we recommend you use color hax to achieve this. especially with the many SV changes that exist.
- 00:37:836 (1) - Certain SV changes like this, where there are multitude of slowdowns and speed-up present, make it difficult to tell whether it was speed-up or the latter.
- 00:42:200 (1,2) - ^

How exactly does "color hax" help readability at all? Many, many players will only be using their own skins' colours when playing, with the logic of "these colours I am using in my skin help me with my reading skills." For these players, the map's readability will not have improved. You're basically saying it's okay to isolate a certain collection of players. Do you really want a map that does this in the Ranked section?

- 00:42:200 (1,2) - ^ 1/8 sliders don't feel like sliders, an SV drop is not noticeable at all. The 1.5x SV here is consistent with the previous 00:41:655 (2) - slider.

But seems that the map owner doesn't agree with DQ post so maybe he will contest.

I think its pretty toxic to the mapping community that QATs seeminly just check maps to find things to DQ them for, instead of judging the map for what it is. I've seen several cases where the DQ is extreme nitpicky stuff, used to cloud the mapper's vision, and the map would have been 110% fine if not a QAT had to bitch about a personal preference he has on a specific diff.Krah wrote:

Seems pretentious to me that they are named the Quality Assurance Team, and they just focus on bullshit reasons to DQ great mapsets over and over again. It doesn't happen to all mapsets, but it does happen often.

I do think the xxxtreme diff lacks quality due to major sightreadability issues, then again, its a 7 star map so it should probably be justified..

If the mapper can still try and get this qualified again, then major kudos for the unyielding patience and will.

Requesting new ranking guideline: All sliders must have the same slider velocity throughout every new mapset to ensure sight readability, regardless of player skill and/or map difficulty. Mapping to the music is no longer allowed. Retrying is no longer allowed.

ok so while it was qualified for the last 2 times i got the feedback that the standalone stacks make for actually harder movement than most of the other insane uses ever because you literally have to do a go-stop-go motion in order to play it, so I took the stacks that made for most of this motion thing and made them into go-go-stop motions by taking the 2nd circle and stacking it with the next slider.
That may sacrifice a little emphasis but makes for overall better gameplay imo
also i increased stack leniency so that 1/1 things actually stack in order to not have to do custom stacks just to make it look better nomod and retarded with HR

Color hax should never be a necessity... especially to improving the readability of SV changes. It's sad to see these issues not being properly addressed in previous DQ's.
It will take at least a month before contests are even looked at. Tbh I'd just comply with the color hax point and try to requalify the map. Hopefully the next QAT assigned won't DQ for an entirely new reason lol.

Anyways, I think this map could be perfectly ranked. But you know, the QAT are higher beings, so, their concept of "Qualitity" is perfectly perfect, and what other thinks that is "Quality" doesn't matter. (with exception, the mafia again)
Also, IMO Fanzhen's diff has so many issues of readability and SV issues an no one says anything.l
I find Fanzhen's diff to be the funniest especially on HR, I guess it's just personnal preference but it's finally a cool HR challenge that's not just about jump and acc to win...

we basically reNCd a few things on Pantsu's diff to make it more readable and i fixed my things aswell (except for 00:37:836 (1) - , because this is ridiculous and no one really bothered explaining it better)

I haven't seen any slider tick rate discussions after this got DQed, so I assume it was same before DQ. Didn't then the tick rate literally tell you whether SV is getting higher or lower? I am surprised nobody used it as an counter-argument against the readability issue as far as I know. Just pointing this out because if it gets DQed for SV issues again, it should be considered.
