I think I can warrant posting in here considering the scale of my change (you better not complain this time strager).



Moved into my actual bedroom, from basement. Is a welcome change of atmosphere offering more natural light and fresh air. Mmm. Still in the process of moving stuff up so I may post another shot in the not so distant future.

I need one of these rounded tables, where I can put stuff on my side.
I like having my desk completely clean (pretty much like that screenshot) at all time, but three monitors is definitely way to much to fit in a small table like this (which is pretty much why I had to put one in tallscreen)

I feel your pain. such is the problem with space that my side monitors are at what I consider ridiculous angles to make my CRT go further back - if I have it facing me straight, it takes up most of the desk's depth. Trying to get a job to pay for new UltraSharps.

I'm jealous of the sheer width of your table. Could use the extra width to have my speakers up here instead of on the floor. Also is that solid oak? Looks similar to mine.

So yea, spilled my drink all over my keyboard, had to take everything apart and clean it.

Yay I found a table! So I added my notebook for IRC and connected it to my desktop peripheral inputs using a crossover cable and Synergy+.

Win2VNC. That way, if your computer crashes, you still have IRC.

Only my desktop is likely to crash, and I can still control the notebook from it's keyboard and touchpad if I want to. Thanks for the extra program though.

The keyboard on the right is just the keyboard that came with my computer.

lol these are some older pics ive upgraded to g27 now and using a headset i got at bestbuy made by razer along with razer mouse and keyboard that light its its really neat looking

Ah. Never really understood the fascination with razer mice, to be honest. I think that they feel really light and flimsy and not solidly built with an assuring weight to them.

I don't know why the newer Ultrasharps have a different monitor base from mine. Also, mine has 6 buttons total on the bottom right while phill's has only 5. What's the model on yours, Phill?

I don't think these are ultrasharps. The one on the right is a newer cheap-o model and quite frankly is pretty rubbish compared to the macbook and the one on the left. The one on the left is an E228WFP and I doubt it's a fancy panel or anything but it's better than the newer one. I use synergy+ to control the laptop and the desktop with one keyboard/mouse between Ubuntu and Windows 7. I don't think I need more than one monitor really but it's just what's available.

@Kurisuchianu: S-video quality is pretty gross. lol And that's not exactly "your room". You just slightly zoomed out on the same spot of your TV+notebook combo. That is one suuuuper messy looking room too.

@Chiary: Even though your room is probably messy, the decent lighting and nice sleek desk actually makes it look somewhat nice overall.
