When I'm trying to time a song, I want to focus on the beat while clicking to follow it closely. But the tick from the metronome distracts me and I end following the metronome

I'd like to have a mute button for the metronome

I will implement this, but I'm not sure you are timing the best way. It is usually better to click about 5 times maximum, then if you hear the the metronome is off, reset and start again. Adjustments after that can be done using the bpm/offset adjustment controls as you keep playing the song and make sure it remains in time.

In my defense, the song I'm trying to time right now has a quite complicated drum phrasing and I have to concentrate quite a bit to find the main beats
