Ugh, Punishment is SUCH a tiring song to play... The notes look easy to FC, but on 240 BPM it's just hell to FC. Same with Kechadon2000. :o

If my hands don't get tired so easily I could have FC'ed it... but for now here's my best score.

There should be a haya club, where all the songs get increased their speed by 5-10%.

Not sure if it works anymore but it contains a lot of haya-version songs.

Oh, and I finally passed Mori no Kumasan (Ura). 10-star upgrade, plz? :o

I dunno,probably because KiSai sounds too weird when in 0.75 speed?
Either way,lazy 765 is lazy...I always prefer new songs
than fooling around with BPM and nothing else.

TnT PC plz. Not a new game every year, just addable maps like for PSP, and update patches.

I know this is unlikely to happen though, because there is then likely to be a sharp decrease in AC demand. :(

Taiko wii 3 should be out by the end of this year :P It doesn't matter which (Nintendo) console it's on for me(if it comes out for the PS3 I'm cutting myself), as long as it has Hataraku 2000.

So it looks like you have to do the following:
1. Full-combo (with ALL "perfect" hits) La Canapella on Abekobe (reverse) mod
2. Full-combo Tank!on Abekobe (reverse) mod

And it is even mentioned on hktaiko:

3. Something about Dodododonderful! that I don't really quite get.

And on the Yahoo blog it also mentions something about ポルカ「雷鳴と稲妻」(Polka...?)!

So, this means the 3rd unlockables are:
1. Mint Tears (this is a GUARANTEE)
2. Polka lightning or something...?
3. Sora II Griese 581 (Ura)

I dunno why but this makes a lot of sense to me. Oh well, we shall have to wait and see. :)

BTW I just played my own version of Punishment here again. I played it about five times in arcade 12.5 and now I notice two or three wrong notes in the osu version >_> Zekira if you still want to map Punishment TaikOsu I'll give you the corrected notes.

I've started, but it's hard to finish....especially with me being busy these few months. I have a website to run.

Song list updated, put in underlines for ranked Taiko songs and spoilerboxes for each category(although the images look rather disrupting now :P) Will get to a new system of signalling when a new map is added to a category.

Rearranged everything by order of appearance in J-POP and Game Music categories.

they plan on using a song featured in a mini game from this ds game. kantan, futsuu and muzukashii are confirmed.

and the ds game is a spin off from some jap tv program about legal shit but they make it funny and kawaii. srsly.

...can we seperate Mori no Kumasan from the Taiko Trials plz X_X

It's obviously made for gimmick and not for something serious. It's more of memorization than anything, where as Angel Dream and Rotter wasn't too much and all that.

Needless to say I pretty much keep failing Kumasan at the moment

Actually, this song doesn't require memorization at all, except for the very last part. The notes aren't that hard if you can see what they are (though that isn't easy by itself, with 6x speed and all).

And IMO Mori should be replaced with Ordyne (the song with all big notes).

And WTF is Carnivorous Carnival still doing in II?

Another gimmick beatset, too. That's freaking annoying.

Also, osu!Taiko's drumbar is so short that anything above 2x is just plain hard to see already, whereas I can read Rotter's x4 part when I played it on Frionel's Wii >_>

Mori no Kumasan Ura is also easier to read on the 12.5 arcade than on osu!, by the same token. I memorized everything up to x4.

Well since the Taiko Trials 2 have already been up there for so long I don't think changing it now would make much of a difference. Maybe wait for Trials 3.

@PropellerCap: By popular demand :P We all decided that we should keep one or two old songs from Trials 1.

Not so sure with Mint Tears...especially when we don't even have a proper
video/song source for referencing.But judging from the Wikihouse entry...yeah,

1. Ordyne (first should ALWAYS be a gimmick song imo)

Of course this is a suggestion, IMO it's best to wait till Taiko 14/Wii3 is out for III.

Actually, I was thinking; maybe we could expand the Taiko Trials next time or something. There are some worthy songs that don't seem to fit only in a list of 10. I was thinking something like... categories. Something like Akira category (features difficult songs with BPM>210), Tengu category (note-heavy songs), God category (god songs), etc. I have no idea what you'd want to name them, but that's just a suggestion of mine.

It's also so that we could isolate all the gimmick sets to one category instead. Kumasan and Ordyne definitely in the same category

Maybe we could compile a list of song recommendations too. Sometimes the newer maps get left out because just looking at the title you won't know how good they are, i.e. Before After Medley, Penetration, Metal Police...

You just gave me an idea, aquabluu.

There should be "full-combo" challenges, where you must either FC the song or play on Sudden-Death (same either way), and try to get as high as possible score that way.

The types of songs should be:
1. Songs with forced "speed-up". (Urban Fragments, that 7-star song used in the fire robot boss, Kechadon2000)
2. Gimmick songs. (Ordyne, Mori no Kumasan Ura)
3. Songs with very long/hard strings. (Yawaraka Sensha Ura, Senpuu no Mai, Etude Op. 10-4, Hikari no Kanata e)
4. Weird rhythms/notes. (Blue-chan 2, Stage 0.ac11, that 9-star "Kumonai" thing, Many Wow Bang! Regular + Ura)
5. Slow BPM with 24/32 notes. (Mappy Medley, Family Dondon, Tank! Regular + Ura)
6. 999 combo songs. (Bachi Osensei Ura, Kurenai, Punishment)
7. God Songs. (Rotter Ura, Ryougen no Mai, Kita2000, Hataraku2000, 2000 Series in general)
