Definitely too early for TT3. There needs to be a Taiko 14 with more hard songs before I can even consider a TT3.

Hikari no Kanata e? It's definitely a cool song, but it's one of the easiest 10 star songs. I'm not kidding. Family Dondon, no. Menuet, also a no, it's too easy. Senpuu no Mai (AC13), yes.

Yozakura has been done before, Etude could be one of the earlier trials, Many wow bang is not that feasible, Hataraku is a guaranteed yes. But only after someone times it perfectly(arken's current map still has a few problems).

I have plans to take Hakuchou on the BSS. No one will touch that.

@Mitten: GJ, now you have 2 songs that I can't FC as of now (I'm serious Kita is frustrating me to death. Still trying Angel Dream).

In other news, fuck Hataraku. In my frustration I might just want to do a gimmick and bring it on the BSS with a custom osu! map based on the Taiko diff. The community MUST know the currently only song I still can't even pass.

Well, I'm also going to list here what I plan to bring on the BSS (in no particular order):

-Lalala Happiness (I just need some motivation to continue it)
-Angel Dream [Miku Version] (same here, need remotivation)
-Taberuna2000 (All because of the many tribute beats on Oni which kinda amuses me)
-Hakuchou no Mizuumi (I need the artist name though)
-Hataraku2000 (I'm going to SB stuff to make people go insane)
-Wonder Mo-moi (I'm thinking this note chart would make a very good TaikOsu map, actually)

That's because it isn't timed perfectly. I could take over and try to work it out.

As long as I'm not busy, here's my planned BSS Taiko maps

Rotter Tarmination (AnGelL, help...!)
DON'T CUT (will ungrave eventually)
Yuujou Pop (Easy, Normal will be arken's job :D) (Now on BSS!)
Ryougen no Mai (Hard is Zekira's map)
Many wow bang! (Haven't started yet, a lot to cover)
Donko's First Date (would need some harder osu! diffs)

Yeah, Hataraku's timing atm is really bad; I'm using +30 CO at the moment and some parts still sound really off. I'll obviously fix it when I get it to the BSS.

Menuet, also a no, it's too easy.
Really? Ah wait yeah, I just can't FC it because of all the 1/6s. I kinda rage at my PSP everytime I try to play this song.

Oh no no no, Ryougen no Mai is in BSS but I made its own Osu! diffs. Of course it's impossible to TaikOsu :D

@lepi: you forgot Monkey Magic. モンキー・マジック in case you can't find it. I'm pretty sure Orange Range did that, unless I'm getting my artists wrong again.

@others: Uh, I can't change the MP3 on Hataraku if I can't increase/decrease all the storyboard's ms values by a certain amount in a short go; there's just too many lines! If anyone can help me out on that one :|

There should be an option to snap the storyboard elements to the timeline, just like for beats...

@Zekira : Well there are song named Monkey Magic sung by Orange Range, but Taiko cover is GODIEGO(who sang GALAXY EXPRESS 999)'s, not Orange Range's.

@crystalsuicune : I fixed your Senpuu no Mai. no offence, but there were timing problem and unauthentic notes. I attached .osu file. (There can still be problems even I fixed that...)

'tis Second Heaven,another Ryu song~

This song is fun and somewhat relaxing to map,because
the rhythm is easy to grasp.(similar to bass 2 bass' case)

Well you have been making wave after wave of beatmaps, it's only natural that you'd tire out after a while. Trust me, I would've burned out myself much earlier than you did. That's why we need lots of people to help finish up the authentic map list :)

Haikei, Gakkou ni te...Ura is not there because as of right now, there is no such thing as a high quality recording of that song. The only version that's being sent around is a tinny, low quality version. Listen to the short Haikei song and you'll notice a large difference.

I was thinking, since lepido is taking a vacation from mapping originals.
Someone or me, (probably me) could gather all the songs from each section and make beatmap packs?
Or, I can organize them depending on arcade version release.

Taiko no Tatsujin, Anime Beatmap Pack 1!
Includes all the songs we currently have in the Anime section, 51 diffrent songs, around 190 diffrent beatmaps of difficulty. If you do not know how to work a .rar file, simply extract the files to your osu! song folder, or drag all the folders into osu! yourself, if you don't want to be lazy.

Like you said, arrange by arcade version, in order of when they first appeared. I've only arranged them by genre and they still don't look all that pretty.

Hey gais,I've got (somewhat) news on how to unlock Mint Tears!!
Rumors say that all you need to do is to FC Total Eclipse,with only 1 "可"
then you can play Mint Tears.

IDK if this is true though..(I don't have the chance to play AC 13)

I've seen similar stuff,only the song's RED ZONE
or Mutsuhiko Izumi's version of Orpheus in the Underworld.

Well, I'm TaikOsu!'ing lepidon's The Girl from Arles map. (I finished Kantan, and am working my way up the diffs slowly)

So I have some questions about this.

Does it matter what the circle size setting is set to when mapping authentic TaikOsu!?
What about slider tick rate? (I know velocity should be 1.4x)

Circle size seems not that important when playing Taiko mode, so don't worry about it.
Not only slider ends, but also slider tick convert to note when playing taiko mod if slider is shorter than 2 beat, so tt can be varied by necessity.

@Dusty: Circle size has no implications, neither does drain rate. But from what I tried, increasing OD by too much can make the beats hard to hit in Taiko, to an unnatural level of accuracy.

OK, let's clarify things up here:

Drain Rate: Affects Taiko. A higher drain rate means a higher HP reduction when a note is missed. Generally though no one really minds that. Plus, the HP system on osu!Taiko isn't really much authentic.
Circle Size: Does not affect Taiko at all. I always set this to smallest whenever I'm making a Taiko-only map lol
Overall Difficulty: orzviously. Affects hitframe strictness.
Slider Tick: Does not affect Taiko at all. osu! predetermines the drumrolls' ticks depending on the BPM of the song.

Yeah, about the OD. Do you think we should reduce it when making Taiko Kantan/Futsuu difficulties? I've noticed more leniency in the real Taiko no Tatsujin on those two difficulties.

At least someone on hkowata already mapped it, lol. (On a side note, the balloon notes in this song are so annoying...)

There aquabluu, now you can map it on taikosu (I dunno how to make beatmaps). :P

And about drain rate and accuracy, both are just TOO unforgiving here. Even when you hit red notes with the blue notes and vice versa, it still counts as wrong here and not on real taiko. >:(

On the bright side, at least the bar fills up much faster.

No, I won't map it until I have a high quality mp3(also that music file has the taiko sounds on it, I know it's masked off when you play but that still isn't right). That's how I go :P

Actually, this leniency issue is the reason why I kinda thought that TaikOsu maps were possible. Notice how most of my Futsuus have a center-1 OD, Muzukashii center+1, and Oni somewhere around center+2/+3.

Oh yeah Still a duckling still needs a small fix too. One extra note was added in Taiko Wii 2, and some notes were rearranged. Artist name is Kanou Mari.

EDIT: Taiko tourney finals on March 7! 16 songs will be played, 9 of them....KAGEKIYO, Punishment, Rotter, Yawaraka Sensha (Ura), DON'T CUT (Ura), Angel Dream, Yuujou Pop, Saitama 2000, Tank! (Ura). The other 7 aren't revealed yet. Hope mint tears is on the list.

I can't find it in the dictionary though..
Unless is you split はた and らく「ラク」, it means "flag uncomfortabbly"
Like unpleasant flagging?(By flag, I think it's that computer term)

Hataraku = Something like 'Hard Work'.

Also, arken's version of Hataraku is f'ed up in Timing. Once I get around to my submitted Hataraku in the BSS, I'll add Oni ASAP.

Aquabluu, both sliders in Hole in the Wall are wrong. The first one is 15, which should be 16, and the second one is 108, which should be 180.

Just pointing that out. ;)
