^If your song has a low BPM the number of ticks will increase.

Aw, woodrockman, I had the long version of Hikari no Kanata e reserved!(arken, a little help...!) :P Ah well.

And lepido, I think the problem is not your music file, it's sounds great as it is, but is it the official Taiko cover version of the song? I only had the arcade to listen to, and I know it's not very clear.

Long version, it is challenge for ranked. Osu is going to be my first map.

Easy, normal, hard, Taikosu muzukasi, Taiko oni, Wood's Hell oni difficulty level configuration.
The links come up easy, normal, Taiko oni is the only small unfinished.

Taiko oni two parts of the battered was changed.

Total Eclipse 2035 ~Shoujo no Jikuu Kaiki Nisshoku~ New Namco Original, on Taiko 13. Shows up on osu! as Total Eclipse 2035 only(it's one hell of a long title!)

Stage 0 ac.11 Namco Original, appeared in Taiko 11 and Wii 1.

Hibike! Taiko no Tatsujin Theme song of Tobbikiri! Anime Special, now with master notes, a proper BG and lyrics.

Will update every song tomorrow.

I FC'd Ryougen no Mai on half time lol, as if I'm really going to be able to do this on no mods >_>

The map's pretty standard once you start grinding your teeth on it, except for some parts that I'm still annoyed at which I will encircle in the chart below (there are 4 circles I put, and explanation of why I'm frustrated is below the image):



1.) Uh, who wouldn't be frustrated by that? It's clearly 1/6 abuse.
2.) It just kinda ticks me off how it's actually the left hand that stabilizes on this one. The number of notes on a standard stream, which is 9, feels very weird to hear on Ryougen no Mai's music on this part.
3.) The dreaded kiai part. If you've been grinding your teeth on this part, you'll notice how it's full of even-numbered streams, and adjust accordingly. But this particular stream in between is only 7 notes, which is odd-numbered, and can potentially foil your left-right properness. This is the part I'm most frustrated about, mainly because it only contains anti-Zekira stream v1, while its adjacent notes have both v1 and v2 which my sense of rhythm adapts to too quickly, and suddenly 'wtf 7 note stream'
4.) I didn't encircle the notes, but rather the sequences. This entire sequence is full of even numbered streams, which means no problem. But since it's even-numbered and assuming you're doing proper left-right, you'll be starting each stream with the same hand you started the others with, which naturally is left-right-left-right-blank-left-etc. This 'blank', I seem to omit quite often and I frequently go too fast thinking that these notes are actually clustered, leading me to miss near the end just because I've been pressing too hard.

I cropped up the chart here on osu! to only the kiai part and been practicing it like crazy. So far here's only as far as I got:



I ended with 133x combo, yeah, meaning I did survive that last sequence #80-83 without misses.

I have to admire this chart; it's teaching me how to read notes so fast. I just really need to know why the hell those 1/6s are there >_>

Come on,it's Tatsh.He's famous for nintendo hard maps.
Ryougen's tough mainly because its note patterns
aren't very straight-forward (read:mapped not to match
the song but just to be nintendo hard),the speed
and of course the goddamn go-go time.

Grats for the FC,by the way.(nobody
FCed this song in HK,or so I heard)

Mapped around 50% of Fuushikaden,
more than 600 notes o_O

Remember that I said I only did it in half-time, which is 75% speed. I can't do it on no mods yet orz. If I did FC Ryougen no Mai normally I'd be jumping around this thread right now, but I haven't, so yeah.

Well...owatatsujin and Taiko-san jiro are both
a hell lot more popular on the net than osu!taiko,
so it's normal that songs we want to map were
already mapped by someone else using the
above two programs D8

Go ahead and map it,I'm sure people will
play if it's a good song+map :3

Good luck youngdow and Zekira :)

@crystal: It's no surprise, those two (especially Taiko-san jiro) are a lot more accurate in simulating Taiko than osu!. But osu has some benefits like being able to add your own backgrounds and lyrics and stuff.

Sure, long map when creating the glass that is more osu. jiro same things, do the tests very difficult ..

That was pretty hard to make this owatatsujin. In particular, the test portion of the sink :(

To me,I'd prefer using osu! for taikomapping
rather than owata or Jiro...tapping the notes
out real-time in the editor has a more "taiko-ing"
feel than typing out strings of code in notepad.
Heck,it's easier to figure out too.(Lazy CS is lazy?)

Osu!Taiko needs more love...

What we need, friends, is to hire a coder to develop our own sim, with a WYSIWYG beatmap editor and authentic taiko graphics.

I new of one such sim in development, but the guy seems to have disappeared off the face of the taiko.

Lepi-don, a request! Yatterman no Uta. There's a Wii version and the one used on Tobikkiri. Whichever one you have access to works for me, if you can!

And erm Ridge Racer if possible. But you don't have to do either!

Looks like a Taiko tournament, using Taiko 13. First round will be Rumble Ranbu, Kagekiyo and Saitama 2000. The area challenge on February will be Akuugan Yuuei ac12.5, Etude Op.10-4 and Soroban 2000. The final round on March....not known yet. Finals will also be aired on TV.

I'm sure they'll reveal some sort of secret hard song at the end 8-) (probably mint tears)

Three or five songs for the finals, probably, in which case one of them will have to be Ryougen. Mint Tears isn't officially released, and it's a 10 star, so this could be a fitting entrance for it.

Not a criticism of your map I'm about to make, more of a statement of how crappy my laptop can be: it can barely keep up! Sounds awesome, but there's no way I can play that at my current skill level :(

Guys, I have a question. It's about the existence of Family Dondon.

It's listed under J-POP, and clearly a song that is related to Taiko. Seeing this, then the song must've been used in some other way. Like, what's the real purpose of YMCK making this song? Surely it must not have been solely as a tribute to the game? Or am I wrong?

I saw aqua's beatmaps on BSS and good :3
Also... Kharl , Zekira , mattyu007 , antony11(He made Taiko Hard of 'Pop Star') , aru-baka(?)

I checked all three of their albums, no Family Dondon. Some lines in the lyrics are also related to drumming.

But hey, Osakana Tengoku was a kids' song, and it was listed as J-pop too.

That could be done, but my maps were ranked before Taiko Mod even existed, or before it had the official scoring system. So all the Taiko difficulties in my maps are actually unranked.

Of course, if I can get Kaze and Rotter through...

That's because the song's based off music
from Swan Lake.Same situation with Kano Kare Kanon,
but I forgot which classical music it's based off.

What truly puzzles me is why Family

Yeah we can probably help out mapping that. Kaze no Fantasy is too pretty of a song not to be on osu!. It HAS to be worked on (we can do some diffs if you want heh)
