They're both can be categorized Psychological genre, like when Amano are trying to use Yuno for his own sake or Yagami when he need to use Rem to kill LApex wrote:
Mirai Nikki is no where near Death Note.

Shit meaning lower than 9.0 in Myanimelist or other database websites(forget imdb, its anime ranking system is atrocious.)
Because watching things based off of suggestions or other things you like is obviously only for people with shit taste.Apex wrote:
"Or other databases" I said, any anime around 9.0 is ok.

*Talking about Fall 2013 Anime, This thread might useful to You...
Not everyone is part of the hivemind. Everyone has their own tastes, everyone is an individual. Everything means something different to someone else. Let people like what they like, judge things for yourself. It's just anime. Also please keep in mind that the hivemind isn't always right (in particular, look at Clannad: AS and Steins;Gate). Think for yourself, life gets more enjoyable that way!Apex wrote:
What is one's opinion when compared to 400,000 voters of one anime? What is the value of a grains of sand compared to a beach? You are not sepcial, you are same with them, you are human and so are they. Saying you have different opinions than others is what an emo person will do. If 400,000 yous say this anime is good, this must be good.
Bury your self consciousness.
I'm excited XDoJefff wrote:

For current anime this fall, I recommend Samurai Flamenco, it's also underrated.
Ongoing underrated anime: Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova. Well, it's up to you. CG-heavy anime, if you're not into that type then don't watch it. Imo it's a good one.Shirotaku wrote:

Anyone have any anime similar to To aru Kagaku no Railgun? Something that has action, but slice of life too, It isn't really nececcary but if the main characters could be females that would be good. (I'm no perv, I'm a girl) I just like it when females take the spotlight for a change. Oh and something for a 13 year old (no pychological horror and stuff like that). Thanks in advance!
Already seen Morestu Pirates (good anime btw). Guess I'll try that other one. Thanks anyway!sabreclaw wrote:

Mushishi? It's not creepy though and isn't supposed to be, but at least some moments I found rather unsettling. Maybe that's enough for you. Overall, it's pretty much the anime equivalent of ambient music for me, so I really think you should give it a try.Luna wrote:
Any suggestions for good ambient/atmospheric anime, preferrably creepy/unsettling stuff? Kinda like the calm parts of Cossette no Shouzou.
Doesn't need to be horror genre (fwiw, horror in anime sucks)
Lovely Complex? One of the few shoujo series I could actually stand watching, and to be honest, I even love it. It's a bit stupid at times I guess, but that's ok since it's genuinely funny and heart-warming (in my opinion, that is). Likable characters, not too shoujo-y overall... while it might not exactly be the best anime ever created, it's easily the best romcom around (bar Toradora, which I think is considered romantic comedy as well, though it didn't quite make me laugh like LC) , as far as I'm concerned. :3rokasrj wrote:

You're already watching it, but I'd recommend Shin Sekai Yori. It's not wholly creepy and unsettling, but its moments genuinely work.Luna wrote:

This isn't a thread about bashing peoples' suggestions. Good for you, you don't like something. This isn't the place for that. This is a thread to make suggestions, not bash titles.Nbhw wrote:

Also: looking into mech titles outside of the obvious TTGL, Evangelion, and RahXephon. Looking into something perhaps a bit over half a decade old, and I don't mind if it's on the serious side of things or the sillier side of things.
First thing that comes to mind in a similar vein would be Jormungand and Jormungand: Perfect Order. Loads of moral grays, dealing with a nutso arms dealer. Fun to watch.world_eater wrote:

There are plenty of mecha shows over a decade old and are quite silly (or spectacular), plenty of which I unfortunately, have not watched myself.

Full Metal Panic
Macross (Original)
Gunbuster
Gunparade March
Gunparade Orchestra
