Damn, I'd love to give this a go, but commitments. Maybe I'll sneak in a map sometime if you do more contest bundles. Something that's more tuneful and, well, songlike would be a good teaser.

Iunno, may be me, but for repetative songs, I'd rather have a short, cut-down and more mixed up ver (much like they do with animu OPs), specifically for such a contest, as really, it's tiring and time consuming... hoping I can put mapping phases on this and won't get offtracked by something in the meantime; that could turn out well.

skilled mappers will observe that despite the repetition of the song, there is a lot of things that can be done with it

No. Keep the diff names Easy Normal Hard Insane. The judges shouldn't even see that there is a collab.op wrote:

426ms is what I got for the offset while using 0 UO. The beat within the mp3 starts at 511ms. I don't know what black magic goes on to the offsetting but it's weird.
what i get is the offset around 432ms, while maintaining/keep finding/tuning/adjusting the first beat offset...

yes, you're free to change the timing as you like. just be damn sure you're right, because a LOT of points can be docked for improper timing. next contest will maybe have people timing the map themselves - who knows!
Leaving timing to the user sounds bad. Don't even do that.
As for timing of this contest map: if the provided timing is wrong then please do change it. I don't think there was enough scrutiny in making it correct (has happened in basically every contest). You will not be penalised for the first timing section's offset being different.
