I had to merge them together to allow each monitor to have separate BGs.

1. I was exagerating, but you do see the filesize being 14x bigger but the quality is still at 99.9% compared to the PNG.

Filesize is irrelevant. JPG is the greatest known insult to graphics.

I've never heard of a PC or laptop just installed with an OS to be cluttered right away...
