Just as the title says,
I have a map that has the verses in 1/3, but the choruses in 1/4.
I want it so I can highlight a group of hitcircles, select Resnap All Selected Notes, and snap to the proper divisor without harming the others.

When I started mapping/modding I thought resnap current section read resnap current selection and got confused.

You can work around this by using the 1/12 divisor, which doesn't exist.
ShaggoN
Maybe different snap divisor for each timing section.
Support it anyway +1

Support since this could be a better solution rather than using 1/12 (which I requested btw)

Because of 'Tenjiku2000 [Taiko Oni]',
I'LL SUPPORT IT XD

This would work much better than a 1/12 divisor, imo, let's say I moved the BPM/OFFSET moderately, then my 1/3s move closer to 1/4s, it'll snap to the 1/4 on 1/12. See, 1/12 would bunch too many ticks close to each other. But y'all probably knew that.

If you're adjusting the BPM or offset you should be tweaking it and have osu! auto-adjust your hit objects.

Rounding error.

Support. Snapping notes by hand is annoying. Messing up maps which use both 1/3 and 1/4 by auto-snapping is also annoying. :o

Awesome :D

Snapping in t+pazolite - Luv-Lab-Poison 22ate! was iaohdifhoi due to a BPM change in the song so you get my support ;)

You do realise you can already snap specific timing sections on a BPM change? You can also resnap in the timing panel in three different modes?
Wojjan
Still could make a great difference. Resnapping all and then searching for 1/3 to reresnap is very bothersome.

Wait huh how?

Also, some maps both use 1/4 and 1/3 without changing the BPM... some even use 1/4 and 1/6...

Switching from eighth notes to triplets or vise-versa doesn't mean a time signature change..

Well pretend it is and make a timing section.

That's not how it works. Time signature only changes how many beats (white ticks) are in a bar, so this will do nothing except screw up the dominant white ticks and the pulsing osu! logo.
Derekku
Unless you just add a red uninherited section while keeping the correct offset/BPM so that you can snap each section like that?

</workaround>

Oh, I thought the time signature selections were 4/4 and 3/3, not 4/4 and 3/4. =X

So add a new timing section at each point it changes, and set the time signature correctly. You can then snap per section (as I intended when making timing points).
Sometimes the time signature doesn't change. The map just decides to use compound timing without a BPM change, ie. it's now using triplets instead of straight eighth/sixteenth notes.

Hidden Mountain & Forest is a strong example of this.

I'm not sure if I understand, so here goes.

I'm not very good at explaining things, so, try to keep up.
These are all regarding one BPM section using 1/8s and 1/6s at different times respectively.

Do you want me to add a new BPM section at where the timing changes, and where it ends, then resnap the section? [/i]
-I've played a couple of maps that have a change in a timing signature, but not a change in BPM. MM201's above post has a clear example.
So, yeah, sometimes the BPM doesn't change, but the signature does.

Or, do you mean to add a BPM section on a whole/correct beat of the original (but where the 1/6s begin). Then add one on another correct beat (staying true to the original BPM), but ending it where the 1/6s are. Then resnapping these notes, and afterwords deleting the section (cause it's basically pointless).
-This would be a complicated "technique." What I want is a simpler way of doing so.

Also, bumping
Stefan
Bumping that.

This feature would be great. We often have Song which multiple Timing Sections and/or beats and this Feature is really missing in the Editor.
At first I thought that this has been already added (with the Option "Resnap current Section") but this goes only to the Timing Section where you're currently.

Hope to see other people with this attitude.
TheVileOne
Yes please. Although the current method of handling it tends to avoid mishandling notes snapped to other ticks. But this leads to unintentional mishaps when the ticks accidentally snap to other measures.
