I suck at Taiko so.... PASS!!

I think this Taiko no Tatsujin map is hard to make as a "osu standard map".
Kind of boring.

I think hitsound is too big. Please Decrease the hitsound.

Interesting patterns on Insane and I like the bit of a reminiscence on the strictness of timing of hitting notes just like on Taiko.

No problems found on any of the difficulties, so just a suggestion.

[Insane]
00:43:595 - Add a short slider here at the same position as 00:43:09 (11).

Yeah that's about it, I like it. Star'd.

OK I'm sorry for not looking at this yet -- there are still some unauthentic notes on Oni. Please refer to the viewtopic.php?t=10277 -- Taiko-Oni difficulty I made for crystal here, the notes are already authentic. I'll be looking at the timing issues later when I get home.

02:02:81 (6,7,8,9,10,11) - Move (8,9) so the whole combo is even.
02:12:82 (9) - This is bad, a hidden slider. XD Fix it.

Easy:
01:53:47 (4) - It seems a little nazi, but I mention what I notice in play. Move this beat closer to (2,3) to make it even, preferably with distance snap turned on.

My recommendation: get rid of the osu! levels. They're really really boring :/

Maybe it's just because I've tried too many times to clock this on Oni (and still haven't passed with silver yet)

Yes. 1/8 snap->Resnap->Fixed 1/6 timing(On Taiko-Oni and Taiko-Hard)

00:24:23 (1) - Could give this a slight nudge to the right to equal out the spacing (You can tell if it is equal when you look at where 00:22:73 (7) was and the space in between).
00:27:23 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This shape looks slightly uneven.
01:37:45 (4,5,6,7) - I'm guessing the jumps between 01:37:28 (3,4) and 01:37:95 (7,8) was intentional?

As for the taiko difficulties.... i'm not that good on it, but I could let you know this. Even though it is based on the Namco version of the game, it doesn't hurt to double check it just in case (like to resnap all of the notes again to make sure and such) as a precaution.


Overall: The map is well made and balanced so far. Once you check into any needed fixes, forum PM me and i'll look into rebubbling.

Edit: The map looks good now as far as I can see. Bubbled.

I am thinking of unranking this, because of the fact that the offsets ARE late... but I'll wait for someone else to do it or if online offset could actually fix this.

EDIT: On the other hand, I am going to get some taiko experts on this. BRB.
EDIT: Used the online offset and -20ms, let me know if it is better or worse or what. :P

It sounds a lot better, but it still sounds only a tad bit more late. I put all those red timing points there BTW, since the song keeps on changing the time signature (but the red timing points are coinciding on the white ticks of the general timing, so you could adjust all the timing points by the same offset) (I'm a Taiko player and I hate this song, so I know what's going on here, ahahaha)

EDIT: I'm using -35. Can someone double-check this? I was looking through the posts again and saw that he +39'd from my previous recommendation.
