DW4 was great in my opinion, but the leveling and Digivolving curve was horrendous. I already got ClavisAngemon and Beelzemon with Dorumon, but I gave my disc to a friend, since I borrowed it from her.XK2238 wrote:

You drive a coach bus from Tuscon to Las Vegas and back. Your bus caps at 45mph, and the journey takes roughly 8 hours to complete, one way. Each time you reach a destination you receive a point.
The road is perfectly straight and there is no traffic. The challenge of the game, however, lies in the fact that the wheel doesn't rest at a neutral heading and has a slight list to the right, so if you don't correct the wheel every few seconds or so, the bus will go off the road and crash. If you crash, you're towed back to the start in real time. So if you crashed six hours into the trip, it takes six more before you can start playing again.
If you stop the bus for long enough, it will over-heat and break down. Same towing rules apply.
The start button honks the horn. There is no pause button. To score a point, you must play this game for eight hours straight.

Surely the worst YGO game out there. Duelist of Roses was decent in my opinion, but Over the Nexus was below decent (but still a favorite) because of the sleep-inducing lag the CPU makes during duels.Guujin wrote:

Can I state a game I have never once played, nor intend to play?
If so it would hands down go to World of Warcraft.
I say a clear, "No, thank you!" to playing a game like that.
If it is one I've played before... from memory I would say Bulletwitch on the Xbox 360 when I owned one at some random time in my life. Christ that was bad at an unbelievably stupid level.

Bullet Witch was a pretty good game.
Very Underrated.
It was good for weird reasons, not that it was good at all. It was just quirky and odd.
But yeah the controls did suck balls and the plot was poopy as fuck.

Steal Princess. It had potential as a RPG, but turned out into a "puzzle" game instead. The controls are very crappy, and the gameplay is only below average.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (The 2006 game). I just finished it and while I don't find it as bad as everyone says it is, I still find it rather poor. Damned rushed development!
It's not the worst game I've played though but it might come close since I can't think of anything else at the moment.
EDIT: Hold on, thinking about it now, I guess Duke Nukem Forever would have to be one of the worst games I've ever played. 14 years of development (Though it's technically 2 years) and yet Gearbox seem to have forgotten what usually makes an FPS good. I mean, Duke's jumping animation just looks ridiculous as his entire upper body is completely stiff when he jumps. We didn't have that issue in Borderlands so how the hell did they mess a jumping animation up? Also the graphics are poor, the load times are horrible lasting up to 30 seconds (Though from what I hear the PC version has better load times up to 8 or so seconds) and the gameplay despite having a few neat ideas, they don't really work that well. I actually couldn't even bring myself to continue playing after the second boss since it's not the sort of game you play with people around. And even then you'd probably play something better instead. Overall, the game sucks hard and is probably one the biggest disappointments in video game history.

FFVIII isn't so bad that it belongs in this thread. If FFVIII is the worst game you've ever played then you need to play more games.
FF8 is a great game with some questionable design decisions. A lot of people that hate the game hate it for stupid reasons like "drawing magic is dumb".

I tend not to buy games that are rated low, with exceptions.
I know Atelier Iris 3 (PS2), Blue Dragon (XBox360) and Ragnarok (DS) were all rated as mediocre but I loved all three.
I read somewhere that people didn't like Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World but it's my 2nd favourite Tales game.

Third goes to Final Fantasy X... for the main character design and unskippable cutscenes. Also the fact that when one "dies" and they still move afterwards (until they're sent away) is pretty gay. Don't get me started with the sequel.

Not that I blame you for the reasons you listed, both very fair. I enjoyed just about every other aspect of the game so meh. =P
Sequel had some pretty terrible bits like the story but I really enjoyed the dresspheres (I'm a sucker for class systems).
I fucking loved tidus omg like the first few hours when his whole life changes and hes like orz i dunno where im going aag# mn]'g[fhagm'[ maybe one day i can get back to zanarkand and some other amazing lines that i would quote if i could remember them ;_;

Castlevania: The Adventure for the Game Boy. Why? Mainly because of the really horrible jumping. The game actually requires you to do some pixel-precise jumps at the end of Stage 1. Now, there are no bottomless pits at that particular part, but you have to do pixel-precise jumps later on as well, and those are above bottomless pits or instant-death spikes. I am not kidding. Furthermore, the game has a tendency to drop your inputs. You also lose your upgraded whip as soon as you get hit, which pretty much isn't present in other Castlevania games (in those, you only lose your upgraded whip when you lose a life). The only good part of this game is the music, which sounds really good for a Game Boy game released in 1989, in my opinion.

i hated the other megaman series, battle network series to be precise, sidescrolling megaman is, and will always be the best.
